We spent a wonderful day with Lou, our driver and tour guide in the King Valley wineries; La Cantina, Red Feet, Gracebrook, Dal Zotto and Pizzini. The scenery in the King Valley is just beautiful, our first stop was at the panoramic Power's Lookout and then onto the wineries. We sampled so many beautiful wines of different varieties, most notably those of Italian origin - prosecco, sangiovese, nebbiolo, pinot grigio, barbera and some smooth tasting fortified wines. Lou was great, his knowledge of the district and the wineries made our day very enjoyable and relaxing. I'd highly recommend taking a winery tour with Lou if you're visiting the high country. read more
