I'm looking better each time.

Sooo where to begin I don't even know. I called this salon because I was looking to get a nail fill…read morewhile I'm here in Oregon visiting. Hopefully i can paint a pretty clear picture for you all. I was born with only one hand. Instead of driving all the way to town to find out how much a Fill would cost for only one hand (because again that's all I have) I decided to call. A gal answered the phone and I asked how much a fill would would cost for one hand because that's all I have being born this way. She told me she was unsure and had to check with the lady that does the nails. Once she got back on the phone she informed me the lady told her it would cost me $60 same as it would to do 2 hands because it takes the same amount of time. I said..um excuse me $60 for one hand because it takes the same amount of time as 2? She said yes that's what she said. How in the hell does it take the same amount of time to do 1 hand as it does 2? It's half the work and less product. Are you SERIOUS? Is it because I'm from out of state? What is it? Because clearly you are dillusional if you think it takes the same amount of time to do one hand as 2. Am I missing something people? If so please explain because to me this is soooo absurd. If you were looking to run off a potential client you found a good way of doing that. Any other nail techs I spoke with completely agreed with me. Are you trying to take advantage of people with disabilities? If so, shame on you. I can honestly say I've NEVER been so furious with a salon just from a phone conversation as I have with this one. I wouldn't have even given a one star rating but I had to just to be able to post this review about this ridiculous interaction.

A one man show here…read more I stopped in during the Christmas holidays. I had to wait a bit because of lunch hours. Wouldn't you know it - two guys slipped in ahead of me while I waited in the truck. Once inside, there are three folding chairs for waiting customers. A small restroom is behind the door and down a couple steps. As I waited my turn, the other two customers got their ears lowered in good time. Soon it was my turn. I sat in the barber chair, was draped, and the hair cutting began. It was a quick and efficient hair cut, and in the end, I looked human again! While in the chair, I noticed some old fashioned cuckoo clocks on the wall. Apparently he collects and repairs these clocks as a hobby when things are a little slow. Regular hair cuts are $12, but since I am old and decrepit, I was charged $10. I left a generous tip! I recommend!

Recently I moved to town and decided to try Samm's Hair Care. The first time I went in, I got a…read moresimple cut. It was exactly what I wanted, Samm was friendly and chatty. The second time I went in, I asked her for an hombre with color dye. Samm was very nice, as usual, and my hair was beautiful when she was finished. The whole process took about 5 hours and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, my happiness with my hair was short lived. My long hair began breaking off in somewhat large clumps right where the bleach began. Now I have sections of hair that are shoulder and jaw length, and a few ever thinning sections of hair that still reach my belt. I really like Samm's, and maybe what happened to me was a fluke. It still sucks. I now have to cut off over a foot of my hair due to the damage.
