Had they told me the price upfront from day one, I would have moved forward but their behavior seemed shady so I decided to not move forward because they lost my trust. I should have known it was a red flag when they tried to charge me $120 for a panoramic xray for the consultation visit. Xrays are covered under my insurance, but they're saying "somehow it's not covered" and I said oh don't worry, I already have an xray I took a month prior from my actual dentist and sent them the X-rays via email so they had no choice but to accept and remove the xray charge. I have the BEST dental insurance and somehow my treatment plan quote went from $653 to $770 to take out two top impacted wisdom teeth with laughing gas. Katie notified me by phone of the price increase a day before my surgery which is super unprofessional. Why did you wait literally a day to tell me before my surgery when I scheduled this appointment two weeks in advance. They had my insurance information the whole time. Also, IV sedation is covered under my insurance. I called my insurance directly and they said yes it is 80% covered for impacted wisdom teeth, but when I called back to confront Katie, a soft spoken gentleman picked up the phone and told me since they were not taking three or more wisdom teeth out, it would not qualify for iv sedation. They never even provided a predetermination to my insurance to even see IV sedation would get rejected so they were entirely lazy on their part. They pushed for me to get nitrous oxide (laughing gas) which is $300 out of pocket since laughing gas is not covered under my insurance. My family are health care professionals themselves and they advised I do not move forward because the front office tactics seem predatory to get the most money out of you. I'm gonna follow my instincts because their office staff ruined this experience for me. Updating this review because they processed the claim for my consultation and they completely overcharged me and my insurance. I was only supposed to be $12 but they charged me $58. Please avoid this place at all costs. You have been warned!

They always give out free toothbrushes and gum, too! Dr. Bui is an amazing, university-accredited, long-term practitioner and can take care of anything concerning teeth, and he does it well. From stubborn teeth my mom couldn't use the door-to-teeth dental floss technique to braces and retainers to cleanings and cavity fillings and x-rays. Dr. Bui's office is more on the traditional side in terms of their patient well-being matters. They have a TV in the waiting room, music (usually Kost 103.5) playing in the background, Vietnamese magazines, American magazines, and a little play table for toddlers. He does all the cleaning and scaling himself, even though he can hire nurses to do it.. simply because he wants to maintain his skill.. He never over charges.. actually, in most cases, I think he undercharges if you're paying out of pocket. He's super friendly. He gives a dad-like vibe. He does/did a lot of volunteer work overseas, giving free dental care to the underprivileged -- just adding in that fact just to show you how nice he is. Through thick and thin, I have come to Dr. Thanh for all of my oral issues such as getting braces, checking up on wisdom teeth, etc. I remember when I was a kid, I absolutely hated going to the Dentist. Getting those new retainers, pulling out bad teeth, or even getting a mold- I detested all visits. But it was somewhat enjoyable when I got to have a conversation with Dr. Thanh. She is both sweet, kind, and very caring. I trusted her with all my oral complaints and all the solutions she suggested, even when I didn't know half the things she talked about. The best part was the free goodies she gave out to her patients! A lot of her staff members such as Cindy, the receptionist, were very sweet even though some couldn't speak English As I got older, it seems that Dr. Thanh has taken a backseat to let other aspiring dentists take over the work. Even though I don't visit her office as much anymore, I do come in for the occasional cleaning services. However, with new faces comes new agony. I just don't get a pleasant experience at the dentist anymore. Although the new faces are a welcome sight and they try to be nice, I feel as though they just can't replicate the kindness, patience, and warm heartedness that Dr. Thanh exuberated when she was at the helm.
