What a fun time! I had never seen a polo match before so headed up to The Villages to see a match…read moreon a Sunday. During the Spring and Fall Seasons, there are matches on Fridays and Sundays. We paid $20 cash per person at the parking entrance, which lets you sit in the grandstand, or for those that got there early with their golf carts, they just sat in their carts at the side of the field. The facility is pretty nice, with a snack bar and a full bar. I wanted to be in the upper seating area so we could see more so we pay an extra $5 cash per person, a bargain, to get an assigned seat upstairs. The view was great! The match started and it was more exciting than I thought it was going to be. Also, the announcer was fabulous--he gave the play by play but was entertaining and gave tidbits about the game rules for first timers. The entire match is not that long, just 1 hour and a half to 2 hours long. Plus, at the halftime is the divot stomp, where you can live out your Pretty Woman dreams and go out on the field and stomp divots and get a free cup of champagne. And there are cheerleaders that come out at the end of every "chukker" - don't miss them!
