Received treatment from Wayne Hansen from Sept 2019-March 2020, provided health insurance info and…read morepaid a co-pay at each visit, then in Nov 2020 (8 mos after last session) received a bill for almost $700 stating that they were out of network for the insurance, WHAT?! Would have never continued treatment if this had been established, but no, Wayne took the co-pay money at each session as if everything was good. I called to see what was going on and Wayne's new office manager stated that she didn't know what when on with billing before her arrival. Attempted to appeal the denial with the health insurance, unfortunately they were unable to process the appeal within the legally allotted time and advised me to seek an external appeal with the state of NH. I stayed in touch with Wayne's office through the entire process to keep them in the loop and keep communication open. Requested the required documentation from Wayne's office for the state appeal and received a call back several weeks later not in regard to the documentation but a demand for payment stating he couldn't wait for insurance any longer and threatened collections if the bill wasn't paid by end of business THAT DAY. Wayne is a terrible business man and a bully, for a therapist to conduct himself in this manor and make threats to a patient whom is in an unfortunate situation through no fault of their own is unprofessional and inexcusable.
