There were about 7 or 8 stages that always had some sort of live entertainment from morning until late night. Super! As one walks along the old streets, one can hear all types of music bellowing out from various bars and pubs - from jazz and blues to rock and rockabilly. I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in the variety of foods. I expected more foods with onion. We had to search for a booth that offered onion cake (zwiebelkuchen) and it wasn't very good. I would definitely go back to this event. Tip: This event takes place in October. Take extra warm clothes for the evening. It's bone chillingly cold.

Most of the customers seemed to be Weimar natives but everyone was very friendly and we felt right at home. The inside was decorated in a rustic, beautiful, traditional German pub and restaurant style, with historical emblems and artifacts decorating the walls. The food was great-- traditional cuisine from the region-- and the beer was equally good. The hospitality was the most enjoyable part however and especially a very kind and hospitable gentleman named Frank, who made sure all of our needs were taken care of and provided us with wonderful conversation. This was an extremely memorable evening for us and I highly recommend it to anyone who is visiting or traveling through Weimar.
