Removing the tree was not the issue we had with this company. Our issue was how our lawn was treated during and afterwards, and how rude and unprofessional they were. They initially began the removal by using mats on the ground but I guess I done point they gave up on using those and decided to drive across the lawn with their almost 11,000 lb Caterpillar which completely destroyed the yard. After they left the first day the crew left multiple water bottles and trash in our yard as well. When the job was finally completed they left that same 11,000 lb piece of equipment on the lawn for 5 whole days which during that time it also rained heavily. I told my husband to call Burds due to their reviews and reputation...and WITHIN 45 MINUTES Ryan was on our property meeting with my husband (holy sh*t!). He eyed up the situation and gave us a price & approx. time (within a week or so). It was in our budget and time frame, and we agreed to the estimate. Unfortunately the weather didn't agree with the timeline (the winds were CRAZY STRONG) and we had to wait another week - but I rather safety come first - and that is a priority with Burds too. (Since I am in the service industry I know that customers can wig-out about this, we did not, and Burds were MORE THAN accommodating and attentive to our text). 3/27/25 was the day, they said 7:30 a.m. - and they were early (to my delight!) I wasn't able to stay and watch since I had an appointment then work. They were completed roughly at 10:20 a.m. - and everything was cleaned up nicely. When I got home that evening I was so happy that I didn't have to worry about branches falling in my driveway, or this huge tree falling on my house. Ryan and his assistant were professional, pleasant to deal with, and nicely priced for the work that they did. I would definitely refer Burds Tree Service over and over again. Strunk Stunk…read more Called them for estimate; they ran out quickly but with no notification as to when they'd come, but they did give me a good quote and I told them I wanted them to do the job. After getting neighbor permission to trim their tree over the property line, I called Strunk back with the information, and never received a call back or an acknowledgement of my call. Nothing. I left messages and called on several different days with no reply. I'm disappointed in them, because they had done a good job on my neighbor's job when one of his trees fell onto my back deck.

It was difficult to get in touch with his wife Lynn to schedule an appointment, and Mark showed up about 10 days too late, so I did not get many apples this year, hardly any. But fungus is still there. While he was spraying in April, we discussed trimming my oldest tree. He gave me the estimate, but said he wants to do it in the fall or I might not get any apples.(I did not anyway, because he sprayed too late). It was hard once again to schedule the trimming appointment with Lynn, but finally she gave me 9/10 at 11 am. When no one showed up by 2 pm I tried to reach Lynn again. Eventually, we rescheduled for today approximately 1-2 pm. At 4pm 2 guys showed up ready to trim my maple tree. I was like, "No, we discussed the apple tree, and if you are not going to trim it, I just find another service, because I cannot deal with these people anymore". Mark called me half an hour later.
