The woman at the register was very kind and gave me a heads up that they are open tomorrow as well, but they may run out of blue crabs by then. Also, right now they have a bunch of Dungeness crab. Depending on the size they vary from $10.99-$12.99/lb. There is also a small selection of produce for anything you're looking to pair with fresh seafood. Btw! The floor is VERY slippery. Please be careful.

Lucky Seafood is a very small seafood market offering a variety of exotic live seafood, including live crabs. They have two tanks for the Dungeness crab, one with a larger crabs and one with smaller crabs. There is very limited street parking so try to get there early. And they only take cash. That was my first red flag, but I still supported this business. I came here to purchase live crab for the holiday season, about $300 worth, then I came back to purchase the same amount a week later for New Year's eve, just to receive the worst service I've ever experienced considering how much money I was spending. The guy got upset when I wanted to look at the crab he was trying to quickly throw in the bag without me seeing it, so he got mad and just dropped the bag on the floor and said "here you look at it!" and he walked away leaving me there with a bag of live crab to search through. I spent a lot of money at this store for the treatment that I've received and after this experience I decided it was the last time. I now go to green fish in Chinatown where they also have live seafood offerings and the customer service is much better. Lucky Seafood also smells really bad inside and green fish does not. This may be due to freshness or lack thereof. 7

Sun Sang is definitely a smaller market, but it has all you need for all your Chinese groceries. There is a butcher area and a water zoo (fresh fish) in the back. Their groceries are pretty cheap and competitive. I always get my to-go snacks such as rice crackers and pocky here. I also find Sting, an energy drink that I can't seem to find anywhere else here!

Hey I like some veggies and fruit and shrooms also but most of my diet is meat and seafood, as mama God intended it to be. It is awesome to have such a nice family owned butcher shop in town that is all about quality. I have purchased oysters, chicken, salmon, bacon and different cuts of meat over the years and all fresh and fantastic. They also have duck which I haven't purchased yet be cause I don't have my brothers insane duck recipe. That will change soon. The other items I buy are bones and oxtails for bone broth. In the freezer section are meaty oxtails, lamb and beef neck bones and sometimes knuckle bones. In the meat counter they have cut up leg bones. My number one place for bones. Store bought bone broth pales in compareson to my recipe and even though a takes a hot minute to make, it's worth it. The staff is great and very knowledgeable.

It will be worth the extra miles to return to my butcher in Berkeley. I trimmed 7.oz of thick fat and gristle off this, and now have to try and piece it together like a puzzle. I was a Chef! I know how to cut meat! I've added pictures of the Switcharoo cut he wrapped for me. I wanted this dinner to be a positive offering for family, closest friends and Vietnam Veterans my husband served with as we memorialized my husband.$170. 00 PSH! Way too much for this mess. I had prepared red envelopes to express appreciation for your hardworking staff, reflecting our long-standing business relationship. Upon arrival, I was pleased to see that your company had arranged a small buffet for employees. The warehouse staff were polite and exchanged festive greetings, creating a positive atmosphere. This reflected well on management and is worth acknowledging. However, an incident that followed severely disrupted what had been a pleasant morning. I must clearly identify that the staff member involved is the senior female employee from the back department responsible for vegetables senior lady ! As business operators ourselves, we understand that management culture directly affects reputation.
