You go in not knowing how to ride and you leave knowing the basics and can actually ride. Great class highly recommended.

It has made me a confident driver my entire driving life. I have definitely driven over a million miles and would trust Safestway with my grandchildren. My daughter had told Lisa she wanted to go back to practice in our neighborhood because they were around a school area and school was about to get out.Lisa then rolled her eyes and went, "Oh my god." She claimed that my daughter needed to learn this anyways (which is true), but my daughter felt uncomfortable because she's new to driving. Lisa kept trying to push her to drive in the area, but my daughter had told her that she wasn't listening/understanding that she was uncomfortable, and Lisa then claimed that my daughter wasn't listening to her. My daughter even pointed out that Lisa had said her turns aren't great, so why should she be driving in a school area with students getting out if she's not ready? Lisa then called her manager and told her that my daughter wanted to end her session early and wasn't listening to her and was "shutting down on her." At first, my daughter didn't even want to end her lesson early; she just wanted to continue practicing in our neighborhood. But after that, she didn't want to deal with Lisa's behavior. Even during the session before Lisa's tantrum, my daughter claimed that Lisa was belittling the way she drives. Lisa said my daughter was shaking the whole car and wobbling and even told my daughter to go into the passenger seat so she could demonstrate and extremely then she proceeded to exaggerate how she was driving. Like I stated before, my daughter is new to driving; she's not going to be perfect; that's the whole point of having a driving instructor. I talked to the owner, and he said that maybe the conflict happened because she's going to graduate soon? Unbelievable. Had absolutely nothing to do with the lesson. He immediately took Lisa's side and didn't try to consider my daughter's feelings; he just made something up. Also, there's a review from someone claiming that Lisa was being racist, yet she's still with this company? We are people of color, so maybe that has something to do with this behavior of hers. This company is extremely unprofessional, and I would not recommend it to anyone. However, if you do stick with this company, I would recommend Andy. My daughter had her first session with him. Very sweet, has patience (unlike someone), and is understanding.

I have a set of twins I let them know I wanted lessons to be kept separate bc I did not want them feeling more pressure. They were both already a bit nervous. Jerry was the instructor. They each had a lesson with him then my daughter went out on her second lesson and after speaking to her she told me he made her uncomfortable because he spoke of politics the entire time" Trump will fix everything" I have no issues with people having an opinion about politics I just would have preferred he kept it professional. My daughter and I do not share political views so to be clear his views did not offend me, they offended his student. Then she came back from the lesson I started asking her if they had worked on the things they needed to know for the road test. I am not a professional driving instructor so I as a parent I can get in the car and drive around and tell them to turn left. I expected the instructor to tell them what they would need to know and practice it with them. Parallel parking, the proper distances between cars, whatever they might be tested on. I called the office and voiced my concern that I was paying 1.50 a minute to have someone do what I could do. So My son went on his 2nd lesson with Jerry, (in between these lessons I was driving with my young adults) there were a few issues in the parking lot of target, Jerry had to slam on his brakes. He got my son to park went in to the bathroom, got my son a water to calm down, no issues so far. But then his twin sister had a lesson following him. Jerry proceeded to tell her that her brother scared him told her he almost hit a woman in the parking lot and he had to slam on his brakes, did dangerous maneuvers and would be failed immediately if he drove like that on the road test. He was speaking to another student and his sibling. I called Jerry he said "no I was not scared it was ok book another lesson for him next week." As a parent I was concerned when my daughter came home telling me all this bc my son had not told me this happened during his lesson. She teased her brother, my son now refuses to get behind the wheel of a car. That was 2 weeks ago. I just found out that was why he was not booking his next lesson with Jerry last night. I could not get him in the car to practice with me he always made excuses until I cornered him and had him talk to me. SO I called bc I was angry that Jerry was so unprofessional as to speak about my son's lesson with his sister. He said " I did not know your family was like that" attacking me and my family yelling at me telling me not to book another lesson they do not want my business bc he was unprofessional and I called to speak about it. No I am sorry, I should not have spoken to your daughter about her brother's lesson. No taking any responsibility for that at all. I am just disgusted with the unprofessional behavior. If you have multiple children I would not advise paying this school or Jerry for lessons as he seems unable to understand what professional behavior looks like offending first one of my young adults by discussing his politics for over an hour not taking social cues when she tried to change the subject then violating my son's privacy by discussing how he drove with his sister and instead of calming my son...letting him know if you drive long enough we have ALL had moments of near misses and helping to build his confidence back up and calling me to discuss what happened so I could coach him the same way. He opened him up to teasing by his sister and then attacked my family. I paid this school entirely too much money to be treated that way. Go somewhere else before you spend over 1,000.00 with this school.

I'm a freshly 20 year old female without any experience behind the wheel, and I mean any!! Unfortunately, my nerves got the best of me during my first lesson and I freaked out. I caused myself and my instructor some stress, and sadly I was unmotivated to drive for a while. Before I left a negative review, I contacted Bay Hill's through email. They made things right and scheduled my second appointment with JP, and he was fantastic! I went from shaking like a leaf behind the wheel to having genuine confidence in 2 hours-- No exaggeration! We drove around and shared a heartfelt conversation, in which he also shared some tips on lane switching and turns. Halfway through our session, we stopped for water and stretches, so I knew my comfortability was respected. The negative reviews on this business are so upsetting. This is an excellent Asian-owned, woman-owned small business with so much diversity on their staff. If your first lesson goes awry, contact them!!! They are bound to have someone you are comfortable with. This is an honest review! I could not recommend Bay Hill Driving School enough!

She would smack gum, eat food, and generally had an attitude of not caring. Only until my last class did she run me through a couple of rules but I never really learnt anything under her teaching. It was high pressure and everything I learned was like being tested without knowing there was a test or what the material was on. The only saving grace here is that the people at the office are great, they kindly signed my second permit and gave me another learning certificate for $25 when I lost my first one. I would shop around for a better driving school before settling on this one.

I am an early stage rider with my M1, my own bike, and about a month of experience riding around the city but I lacked the confidence to feel really in control of my bike. Evan reshaped by fundamentals and taught me in much more detail about my throttle and brakes than what I learned at my CMSP course. Also being able to ride as a passenger while he demonstrated the drills was incredibly eye opening. Being able to feel the smoothness and minute control that an experienced rider has really helped me learn what I could aim for myself. To top it off, literally the SAME afternoon I finished my lesson I had a driver pull put in front of me from their parking spot while I was making a turn, and with the skills that Evan taught me I was able to avoid collision and ride away safely. Most importantly, I handled the situation calmly and smoothly because of the outward focus that my Monkey Moto lesson taught me. I can't recommend Monkey Moto School enough, don't hesitate to book a lesson no matter your skill level!

After trying to contact several places in the San Francisco vicinity, this was the only conversation that went smoothly. The gentleman I spoke with was super accommodating and incredibly patient. He spent a good 15 minutes on the call with me, thoroughly explaining their different programs, what the standard course entails, and how their program can be uniquely useful. He gave me many useful tips, all before I had even set foot in the place. Bear in mind, I was calling on behalf of a friend, and I say this as someone with over a decade of powerful motorcycle experience myself - felt that giving my friend into save hand. I can't (yet) speak to the actual quality of the on-bike education, but at least the theoretical part and the customer service were absolutely great.
