It's feels like a real locals pizza joint. I got a giggle each time I walked in and was greeted with a big Bongiorno!!!! As soon as you walk in you can see the pizza chef throwing the dough in the air. The wait staff is very friendly and checked on us often.
WARNING - if you go on a Sunday night there will be a wait.
The wine list is limited but I heard that you can go next door and buy a bottle and bring it in; not sure if there's a corkage fee.
We got to eat here twice and we ordered:
Pizza Margherita- good pie. The sauce is on the sweet side.
Calzone- This was like the calzones of my youth -- a crisp 1/2 moon of pizza dough stuffed with cheese, ham, mushrooms and artichokes. Great meal that took me back to being a kid.
Focaccia buffalo and tomato - it was the size of a small pizza. Flat well seasoned dough cut like a pizza. Each slice had one slice of tomato and a piece of buffalo mozzarella with a sprig of basil in the middle. Nice!
Classic Lasagna- noodles layered with chopped meat and béchamel sauce covered in bolognese. Filling dish.
Carbonara Fettuccini - I like that I had a choice of pasta -- spaghetti, elbow. Creamy pasta with chunks of pork covered in parmigiana cheese. Like no carbonara I've had before.
Fantasum Cake - crispy chocolate crust, thin layer of bananas, whipped Marscapone cheese, then covered with a dusting of coco powder. Best dessert I had in Poland. read more
