I've had the pleasure of working with Laura for headshots for my company's website for a few years now, and I cannot recommend their services enough. From their prompt responsiveness to their exceptional turnaround time, every aspect of our experience was truly remarkable. She is incredibly accommodating in finding a suitable date and time for the shoot. She has great attention to detail with her expertise and quick turnaround time with the final product. We enjoy working with Laura and she's always our top pick with headshots. read more

Laura is so patient and prepared for everything. She has done both of our newborn photos and they have been adorable each time. You can't go wrong with this personal experience. Laura captures beautiful moments and I can't recommend her more. read more

Laura is soooooo talented! She was extremely pleasant to work with and her calming, upbeat energy helped both my kids (who are often adverse to getting their pictures taken) relax, smile, and feel at ease, letting her capture the BEST pictures ever. These pictures will be such a wonderful framed holiday gift for the grandparents, and we will most definitely reach out again to Laura for family photos in the future. read more

It was wonderful working with Laura! We hired her to do a mini session for our family of 4, my husband plus my 2 boys. She was easy to talk with and truly seemed to understand the types of photos we were looking for. She was ready and willing to take any shots we asked for, and she made sure we didn't miss anyone or anything important. She captured every moment and to leave us with some great memories of our growing boys. I truly recommend Laura for any photo session and definitely work with her in the future; you won't regret it! read more

Laura is excellent! She took amazingly gorgeous photos. She was so sweet to my 2 wild boys abs even though the youngest was in a mood, she was able to get amazing shots of him still! She's excellent! read more

My wife contacted Laura to do a maternity shoot at Manhattan Beach pier. She was recommended to us by some friends who have used her for years for family photos & holiday card shoots. After chatting we decided on the 30 minute shoot (comes with 10 photos) vs the 60 minute one (more expensive but it comes with 20). Laura is easy to talk to and a true professional. She showed up early and snapped about 200 or so shots. She took in all of my wife's suggestions and delivered everything she wanted. Proofs were available pretty quickly online and after my wife picked out her favorites - she settled on 15 so we paid for 5 extra - Laura touched up whatever we wanted. The pictures came out so beautiful. Very satisfied customers. Laura, we'll probably see you again soon with the baby. read more

It was a pleasure to work with Laura and I would recommend to any other families who want a photo shoot! She was very responsive when I reached out, and she gave me several options of locations and recommendations that helped us choose a spot that made the most sense with us. We brought our dog and baby with us and she was very comfortable working with both of them as well which was appreciated, especially since the dog is a 70 pound pit bull and frankly not everyone loves them. During the photo shoot she gave us recommendations on poses but also made sure we were able to do anything in particular that was important to us. The turnaround time for receiving our photos was very quick and we were thrilled with how they turned out. Thank you so much Laura! read more

Not sure there are enough positive words available to convey the enormous gratitude I have for Laura's help with my daughter's engagement photos. Laura was lovely to work with from the very beginning and she is extremely skilled as a photographer. Her knowledge about locations and timing to ensure that natural light would be complementary to the outcome was an important reason why the photos turned out so beautifully. Laura has a very relaxed demeanor, which allowed the love that my daughter and her fiance feel for one another to shine through in each and every photo. Make Laura your choice for any important shoot you might have coming up as you will NOT be disappointed!!!! read more

I highly recommend Laura and NomadKidStudio. I was extremely ambivalent about exactly what I wanted. Laura suggested a wide array of photoshoot locations for me to chose from to help guide my choice. Throughout the session itself, she was gentle, patient and gave simple, concrete directions which were easy to follow during. While at the site, she would walk around until she could find the perfect spots to make the best of the backdrops and lighting conditions. It was clear from my experience that Laura's manner and professionalism would be great for families and children. Even though I only paid for a 20 minute shoot, my shoot exceeded that time limit while Laura worked hard to ensure I'd have enough quality images to choose, and she provided me with an abundance of beautiful shots to choose from. I would gladly work with her again. read more

We found Laura for our outdoor family portraits. She picked a location with lots of different beautiful nature and textured backgrounds. Laura was knowledgeable about lighting and had us move to different locations as the sunset and we were able to avoid shadows in our shots. She was wonderful with our 13 month and got an amazing amount of shots of him looking and smiling at the camera! Laura made suggestions but made sure to ask us on several occasions if we were getting the shots we had hoped for. My family would definitely book her again for our next family shoot. read more

Laura is an amazing photographer, great for families, as you know it can be challenging to get everyone on the same page. I had a maternity shot along with some family group pictures and my youngest 2 year old was not cooperating. She was so patient with my two boys; trying to get them to laugh and play... we got great natural pictures of them. I was able to do a wardrobe change onsite.. thanks to her portable changing station. Given the challenges of a family photo-shot with two small children ages 2 and 5 I had forgotten to take some solo pictures with my husband but she was on top of it and made sure with had some one- to- one which I thought was very intuitive of her as a photographer. I loved all my pictures and was amazed that in light of my little one not cooperating....you would never have guessed it viewing our beautiful family pictures. Highly recommend her and look forward seeing her do out newborn pictures in a couple of weeks. read more

Amazing photos! My wife and I booked a beach session to take some photos of us and our two year old. Our two year old was pretty fussy and not smiling much for the camera. We still came away with some incredible photos. I don't know how the photographer got the pictures in between the grumpy faces and tantrums, but she did. We love the photos and are using them for our holiday cards. read more

Nomadkidstudio took our family photos and they fill my heart. I have them displayed front and center in my living room and everyone comments how beautiful they are. Our photographer Laura was professional, and equally important, generous with her ideas and time. She made sure to take all the photos we wanted and suggested some we might have missed. She kept in mind our oldest (70) and youngest (1) when sharing ideas for the shoot location. I recommend her to you if you want high quality work performed in a timely manner. read more

Laura made farting noises to get our wild 3 year old to laugh and it worked! We first found Nomad Kid Studio through a school fundraiser. We only had a 20 minute session with the amazingly talented Laura (and her assistant) and I still cannot get over the number of beautiful moments she was able to capture in such a short amount of time!! I've always despised how I look in family photos, but Laura is so skilled with lighting, angles, etc...that I couldn't be happier with the results! She helped guide us into poses without making it feel overly staged. Laura is fantastic with little ones as well!! My youngest was in a "blowing raspberries" and running around mood...and she didn't let it phase her! She had both of my boys laughing and engaged during the session. If you are looking for a photographer for your next family portraits, please do not hesitate!! read more

We loved, loved our experience with Nomad Kid Studio from start to finish. Laura was very responsive and flexible in the planning of our family portrait. On the day of the shoot, my 16-month-old was a little tired and cranky, but Laura was such a pro. She gave great direction and managed to capture so many wonderful moments. She does an amazing job of turning natural, loving moments into beautiful photographs. The result: We all look so happy and relaxed in our shots. Thank you, Laura! We will treasure these gorgeous photographs forever! read more

Highly recommend this photographer for family photos/children! We took holiday pictures this year with a toddler and an infant and Laura was so great & patient. I was worried our toddler would have a tantrum because she hates pictures but Laura interacted with her, answered her little questions etc., to keep her occupied and entertained for the photos. She even brought her a little toy & bubbles to play with! I had to stop our photos to nurse and Laura was completely understanding and patient for that as well. And we absolutely LOVE our photos! read more

Laura has an incredible eye for capturing the most authentic and organic moments in her photographs -- without the props, without the posing, save the "1-2-3-Cheese!" - she identifies when the moment is right and the shutter starts snapping. I have worked with her through numerous shoots and she always manages to reveal the true essence of the event in a timeless setting... Intimate peeks in to the spirits of: the joys of family through the light-hearted laughter of siblings, the curiosity of a child in the discovery of finding a ladybug, absolute purity through the eyes of a child, excited anticipation of an unborn child, unconditional love between mother and her newborn baby. There are many very talented photographers in the SouthBay but few come close to what Laura is capable of conveying. Likely her creative talents and abilities stem from her years on the other side of the camera when she was a successful runway model in Paris and Milan and then, thereafter, from her editorial eye while working as an Editor for a fashion magazine in South America and in New York City. She will beautifully execute your traditional prop and pose photographs, but what truly sets her work apart is her ability to capture the full range of human emotions. Her pictures will make you laugh, they'll make you cry, and overwhelmingly across the board, will bring you joy preserved forever in a photograph. Her work is truly distinguished and extraordinary and you absolutely will not be disappointed. read more

If you're looking for professionalism, talent, patience, experience, adaptability, direction, guidance and understanding, you've found it with Nomad Studio. I've worked with several photographers in the last 8 years, from wedding to maternity to holiday photos and I have to say that laura has been one of the best. Not only can she take beautiful pictures but she is extremely good at directing. I always found that to be one of the biggest challenges with photographers. Ive worked with some talented photographers but us average people, (you know, the average civilian who know nothing about posing or photography) need more than that! We need direction and guidance and laura definitely provided that. Look up, chin out, look back, stand over here, arm around his waist or whatever i needed to do increase the chances of me looking skinny! Laura guided me during the session with ease and comfort. She didn't make me feel silly or awkward. I think it also helped that she was a professional model and that she really understands what women are looking for when they hire photographers. I highly recommend her! read more
