Being a self pay patient, and diagnosed with fibromyalgia, carpel tunnel problems, and developing arthritis, Dr Thakor listened to me as a person about how I felt physically, *as well* as emotionally. He gave valid suggestions, and talked with me about medication before beginning. He wanted me to feel confident and comfortable about the choice before we pursued any medication, and this made me feel to be a bigger part of helping myself. When available, Dr Thakor always offered samples of medications to see whether it'd be worth pursuing for the out-of-pocket-cost for self-pay patient like myself. I was diagnosed with an A Typical Bacterial Infection from a spider bite three years previous to visiting Dr. Ben's office. Something similar to 'lyme' infection but with the added complications of parasites and fungus running rapid through my body and brain. Over 20 years ago my primary care doctor diagnosed me as stage 3 to 4 chronic kidney disease. This was based on yearly bloodwork alone, even with lab work (urine) showing normal functioning of the kidneys. I would encourage patients to find alternate care with a provider who is transparent in scheduling practice and provides proper customer service training for their staff.
