I guess you can't get them fresher than here, as this place is right next to the Oosterschelde. Besides a small restaurant, this place also has a shop where you can buy all the different fish and sea-fruits. Since I don't eat any fish or sea-fruits, I was hoping that they would also have something else (the rest of the group I went with had just one thing on their minds: mussels :) ). Fortunately for me, they have some excellent non-fish dishes and their sateh is actually very good!

My family recommended this spot for a date night, and frankly, I was surprised to find such a lovely, high-end spot in this tiny fisherman's village without ride share access. Although we walked here in the rain and entered the restaurant more than a little damp as brash Americans would, we were met with kind service and delicious seafood. Your fancy night out in Yerseke begins at De Branding! To the Zeeland locals, yes, it's OK to come over to Yerseke for the seafood once in a while :)

To start off, you pull up to this resturant and the lady sprints out of the resturant and follows your car until you park just so she can open the door for you (quite funny actually). You walk in and it's the usual greetings and can I take your coat , but then they take you over to this little waiting area and serve you beer, wine or champagne...real champange, from France! Best bubbly I've had thus far! The resturant isn't that big, but with menu prices like theirs you don't need much service. Also, the menu seems small, but my oh my do they serve a great deal of courses....plate after plate (small portions, but don't worry you'll leave stuffed). The best dish of the night was a tie between the wagyu and the souffle ...not to say the other dishes weren't delicious because they most definitely were, but the wagyu and souffle were hands down one of the best things I've ever tasted. The overall ambiance of the resturant is what gives it five stars for me. The waiting staff dressed in matching outfits with matching haircuts/styles, whenever you got up someone was waiting behind you to pull out your seat, constant flow of beverages (never an empty glass), a cheese course to "cleanse your palate"...I mean they even went as far as to get me a chair for my purse! Yesterday we looked for a cozy local restaurant not far from the water. We settled on Iets Anders…read more We ordered tea and then looked at the menu. We noticed that there were not too many items to choose from and didn't see anything we were in the mood for. So we decided to not have dinner. The server (the girl was lovely and was told what to do - I guess the manager didn't have the courage to tell us) then came to inform us that this restaurant was not just for drinking a cup of tea and let us know that if everybody would drink tea the restaurant wouldn't make any money. So we were told next time we would come we would have to order food. I am pretty sure there won't be a NEXT TIME with this type of lousy service. I wish this restaurant best of luck we gladly go to the competition for a better menu and better service.
