They carry a bunch of local artists/crafters and have a great selection of souveniers/NOLA themed gifts. The folks who work in the shop are always friendly and helpful. I was here a couple of months ago to pick up MG themed signs so my Mom could have a virtual parade in her front yard for Yardi Gras. I had ordered online so pickup was easy. Staff was wearing masks; customers were required to wear masks too. Hand sanitizer was available. Great experience all the way around.

The business owner, presumably, was stationed at the front of the store. I thanked him before we left and he just continued to stare. We did not appreciate it.

FINALLY!! The Westbank has a Fleurty Girl!…read more I have been saying for years that the Westbank needed it's own little branch of this fun local shop, and owner Lauren finally made my wish come true. The newest Fleurty Girl shop is in Old Gretna and I couldn't be more excited! After the madness of Gretna Fest died down, I was able to stop in and see FG's newest home. It's perfect- an old house that has been converted into a quaint little shop where you can find New Orleans themed t shirts and gifts. I have been a Fleurty fan for years and it's been so exciting watching this little company expand from a t shirt shop to a full blown "must" for any New Orleans gift giver. On the day I was here, I was greeted with a friendly "Hello!" from the woman working and I was eager to look around and see exactly what this shop had to offer. FG-OG is a bit smaller than the other shops I've been in, but they pack a lot into a smaller space. They sell much more than just shirts- they also have a variety of jewelry, accessories, house decor and a lot of other fun things that you are sure to like. On this day, I found a pair of earrings that will be perfect to wear when watching a Saints game. I also saw a few t shirts that will definitely be going on my Christmas list. Oh yeah...if you want to buy me something, a Fleurty Girl gift card will do nicely. I'm so happy that Fleurty Girl has found a home on the Westbank and I can't wait to make this place one of my regular shopping stops.

She was so nice, so professional and it def makes me want to come back to the store in Gretna! Thank you so much for your AMAZING customer service, it made my day a little bit easier :)

Fingers crossed! They also carry beautiful jewelry, candles, Annie Sloan paint and lots of other goodies. The ladies that helped me were so sweet and knew their inventory like nobody's business. I have a feeling they'll be seeing me again this week.

We spent more than 2 hours in there looking at clothes, footwear, jewelry, artwork, crafts, furniture and of course Ms. Bitsy ( OMG this tiny Maltese defines cuuuuute! ) Sylvester's also has a large selection of hats and a machine that does something to the hats to make them fit perfectly. (Sorry forgot to ask what the name of it was) We loved this store so much we made a return trip the next day and bought an amazing belt that had an awesome buckle, and fantastic shirt. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how friendly and helpful all the girls are, they spend any amount of time you need to find just the right item you are looking for. Katie and Christine were on the spot when we needed assistance trying to find just the perfect belt for my brother.. We also had the pleasure of meeting Lisa and her daughter on our second trip Prices are great, parking is more than ample but the stars of this place are the people and how you feel just being in this cool store! Sure wish you could bring this store to Los Angeles, Thanks for such a memorable experience.

For example, I got a really cute maxi halter dress for $80 and a really nice turtleneck for 30 that that was made of quality material. A lot of the other boutiques on magazine Street were charging like $300 for a dress. The service here was also excellent, the girl who rang us up was very down to earth and warm. In the dressing room, they had a sign saying that they offer champagne while you're trying stuff on. I had just stuffed myself full of both turkey and the wolf sandwiches + District donuts, honey butter, hot chicken biscuit + donuts and ice cream because apparently I came to New Orleans to abuse myself, so I wasn't in the mood for champagne, but I think it's a really nice thing to offer. I would definitely make it a point to come back here and shop while I'm in town because I think that the quality and price we're really good and I left with a really nice dress that will look perfect on me in France this summer.

I had forgotten that there was a jewelry store that I wanted to check out on my previous trip last October. At the time, it just seemed very far away from where we were staying. I actually bookmarked the website and forgot about it. On the ferry ride over, we were online researching where we should go to eat and what we should do on that little Peninsula. Beatrixbell popped up and I got very excited. In the shop, I expected to find the original, whimsical and unique pieces that were shown on the website. What I didn't expect was how gracious Beatrix was. She welcomed me and invited me to look around and ask any questions. I told her that I had my eye on her shop for about six months and that I was interested in creating my very own necklace with her dangling charms. She let me pick out the charms and made arrangements for me to pick up the finished product in her French Quarter store the next day. I love, love,, love my new necklace and get so many wonderful compliments when I wear it. My new 'bauble' was reasonably priced and so much fun to create

Unfortunately, when I asked about gift wrapping I was told sale items are not eligible. I offered to pay extra, I was on the way to a party. I was refused, put in a plain bag, no tissue. When I mentioned in the future about charging I was told, my boss has owned this shop 20 years so I'm not telling her how to run it. Really? As a customer for years and only suggestions, not appropriate response. So, instead of at least putting in a bag with their logo for advertising I had to buy a gift bag and they didn't get any recognition. Common sense should prevail.
