Dr. Melina, her wonderful aesthetician Tim, and her excellent Nurse Patricia are all genuinely friendly & extremely professional! I feel welcome and taken care of each time. They care without upselling. They provide Beverly Hills first class service, at Valley prices - meaning, they are fair and do not overcharge. The location is centrally located in Studio City, has ample free parking, and the offices are always immaculate! I have tried several services here, and my top 3 favorite ones have been: 1. the regular facials with Tim are SUCH a treat! I've never been one who enjoys facials, but unlike anywhere else, my skin comes out feeling like velvet when Tim is done doing his magic!! So I keep coming back for more; and even my aesthetician friends have complimented me on how good my skin looks. 2. the gentle way Nurse Patricia erases the frowns lines between my eyebrows - we have had 2 Botox sessions together, and I love how precise she is with the needle. I had only gone to one other place before, and I was in SO much pain, I was certain "never again". But Nurse Patricia has magic hands, and thanks to her frown-no-more! 3. my sessions with Dr. Melina are my MOST favorite. I need to preface that Dr. Melina Jampolis, MD is an internist and board-certified physician nutrition specialist (one of only a several 100s practicing in the United States), and I feel extremely lucky to have found her! For almost 10 years I had been seeing an endocrinologist about the hormonal ups & downs of early-onset menopause (and the interminable weight gain that came with it). When that integrative doctor said "Well, it's harder to lose weight as we get older" even-though I was doing all the right things, it was disheartening. Dr. Melina's extensive expertise and consultations were my last hope frankly. With Dr. Melina's caring guidance, encouragement, and focus on optimal health, I've finally been able to fit into my own clothes again, and I lost those 25 pounds brought on by menopause! I don't live nearby, so I made a long drive and wasted both my time and gas for nothing. What made the experience even worse was how it was handled afterward. I reached out multiple times by phone and email requesting a refund, and my calls and emails were repeatedly ignored. It was incredibly frustrating to be met with complete silence instead of a simple acknowledgment or apology. When someone finally addressed the situation, I was offered a free session as if that would make up for everything. It felt like they viewed this as a minor inconvenience, when in reality they completely wasted my time, failed to communicate, and then ignored my repeated attempts to resolve the issue. My biggest issue isn't just the missed appointment--it's the complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers. If a business can't be bothered to notify clients that no one will be there, and then ignores multiple requests afterward, why would anyone trust them with their time or money? I am posting this to document a serious concern regarding Pro Health Physical Medicine's BioTE…read morepellet insertion practices. Both my father and I previously received BioTE pellets from another provider with consistently positive results and without these types of problems. We sought treatment at this office only because our previous provider became unavailable and this office was listed publicly as a BioTE provider. Before treatment, I specifically asked twice whether the office was in fact using genuine BioTE brand pellets, and I was told yes. However, based on the outcome and the surrounding circumstances, I have serious reason to question whether that representation was accurate. Following pellet insertion at this office, neither my father nor I experienced the same beneficial response we had with prior BioTE treatment. Instead, both of us experienced significant adverse effects, including reactions we had never experienced before with our previous BioTE provider, including what felt like allergic-type reactions. In addition, the follow-up process raised further concerns. Garrett Glapa stated that he would personally handle the necessary lab work and specifically represented that my father's testosterone and estrogen levels would be tested. When the results were returned, those expected hormone tests were missing. Instead, unrelated or less relevant tests appeared, which did not seem to reflect proper monitoring of pellet response. Another concern was the lack of transparency during the procedure itself. Our prior BioTE provider would show us the BioTE pellet bottle before insertion. That did not occur at this office. Taken together, the unexpected adverse reactions, the missing expected hormone labs, and the lack of product transparency have left me with serious concerns regarding what was actually provided and whether this office is accurately representing its BioTE services. I have already reported these concerns to BioTE directly. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this office to anyone seeking BioTE treatment. I strongly urge prospective patients to verify exactly what product is being inserted and to obtain clear written confirmation of all follow-up lab testing in advance.
