Every single employee I've interacted with in my many years of coming here has been friendly, helpful, and respectful. You see a lot of the same faces year after year, and I get the impression that people truly enjoy working there. They recently just celebrated 16 years in business, which is no small feat for a co-op swimming in a sea of big chain grocery stores. For me, it's certainly not hard to see why.

The produce section is the best of most of the stores in the area (IMO) although sometimes things can be a bit expensive. I like that Big Y brings some different brands to our area. They have a great beer selection for a grocery store, I think they are associated with Table & Vine which means they have more local and small craft beers than your typical grocery store fare.
