I had multiple contractors come out to give us a bid. When Dillman came to give a bid he took extra time to talk with me and make sure he knew exactly what we wanted. He didn't just whip out a tape measure and give me a price. During this process it was discovered that what I wanted wasn't in the budget but he gave me options that would accomplish my curb appeal goals while addressing the structural problems. And he never made me feel bad for having a budget. He wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. His price was fair. When it came time for the actual project every single guy on his crew was polite and hardworking. These guys worked long hours to get this project done in three days! I am revising my review from May 29. Virtually all of the sod that was installed has died and it…read moreis NOT from dog urine as there are no other dog urine spots in the rest of the yard. It has died because they did not remove the old topsoil when the old grass was removed, they just sprinkled a thin layer of home store topsoil on top of the hard, packed clay that was there. They did replace some of the sod but that was dead within 10 days in spite of our sticking to a proper watering schedule. You can peel it up like an area rug and the soil underneath it is rock hard. They charged me $1600 and will not make it right or stand behind their work.

It was complicated by having to piece the two systems ( the original and the new) together and restore what the excavator/builders had destroyedwhere the new addition went.
