Great venue for gigs. We did a show here & the staff were all very helpful and gracious. Incredible setting in a very old, converted barn that once held hops & was a whiskey storage at some point. read more

Between this room and the café there is a corridor with some pictures on the wall that show how this cellar looked like in the past. There is probably so much more I don't know about it. This place belongs to the history of Hamburg and it's opened only on special occasions i.e. if there's an exhibition going on so come by and have a look around, you won't regret it.

I was having a quiet night in. I wasn't going to go out, and yet there I was at 3am watching a…read moregiant lobster wrestling against a giant cardboard robot on a crazy ship-cum-club while thinking "just another weekend in Hamburg then." A friend had invited me to "see a metal concert, and American wrestling." What neither of us knew at the time was this was all going to be happening on the Rostock-based Stubnitz ship-club-boat. As it turned out, it was actually "Rock n Wrestling", not metal, but that's by-the-by. It was certainly a unique experience. First we saw a bit of music, but then we wandered off to get a good position for the wrestling. Before the wrestling-proper got underway, two random girls got into the ring for a bit of a fight. After the first few minutes they really got into it, throwing their coats to the crowd, which was loving it. Towards the end of the night, after the first 5 or so boughts, out came "Heidi Hitler" ranting angrily, with a little moustache. Needless to say, the grand finale was all the other wrestlers coming back out and beating her down... lols I can't guarentee that any other night on the Stubnitz will be anything like this, but it's a pretty cool venue for whatever type of night...

I have now visited the Stubnitz in Amsterdam and Hamburg; two totally different parties though. Underground Electro fun in Amsterdam, and Rock nWrestling in Hamburg! Both absolutely worth it, and dont worry, even if youre not a fan of the music, the fact that youre on a ship makes it entertaining enough. Check it out!
Summary: Prime location doesn't always mean prime food. I…read morewould give Vincenzo D'Agate 5 stars for staff friendliness and food variety, but not for taste and price. Food: Unfortunately I felt I was having a soup of oil and not antipasti. And honestly I think the oil contributed more to increasing the price rather than to making it tasteful. Oh yes, you pay per gram so you can either take away or eat there. That is of course a good thing. There is also a lot to choose from and they also have a catering service (up to 300 people I think) It is NOT healthy so avoid it if you are counting calories. Location & Staff: Its location makes up for the bad food...I guess. Also the staff is super friendly, which is the reason I decided to stay and eat at this place after I seeing my options. Price: Too expensive :/ and you can find similar and cheaper antipasti places down the road. So keep walking! Mucho love, D.

And the most important is that he totally understands what we want! I did not even have to worry about any selections on music because he seems to have millions of options to fulfill every need. We had a great night, music was incredible motivating and people were dancing non-stop. Morris is not the DJ only behind his machines, he came to the dance floor to dance with us, even showing us couple moves:), we love him! DJ Morris is our the best choice that party night, he made our night more fun than I expected. Thanks Morris.
