Located in the peripheral suburb of Valdegastea, Bar La Esquina is THE spot for working class…read morelocals to go for breakfast in this part of Logroño. It is the best price vs. value around. For me, it's the most typical Spanish bar I've been to in this neighbourhood. Spanish musician Fito Fitipaldis' songs are always playing on TV, "la Marca" daily football newspaper is always in plain view, and there's usually at least one blue S.E.A.T. Ibiza parked outside. The Pinchos here are nothing extraordinary but they are consistently decent. Fried pig ear is tasty as well as "Torreznos" (fried pork belly in the shape of long sticks, typical of the Soria region). The sandwiches are classic and delicious. Service is friendly. No more than 20 steps from the Camino de Santiago, I have never seen a pilgrim go in here. Maybe this review will encourage somebody.
