The staff are always warm and welcoming and go the extra mile to make sure your pets are well looked after. They were happy for me to bring my own treats in for my cat to give her every day for no extra charge. They also offer a grooming and walking service for dogs which meant my sisters dog was smelling beautiful when we came to collect her! Having looked around the pens they appear clean and tidy, with cat toys and scratching posts and a heated bed area for the winter when its cold. All in all cedar lodge is a place that I feel safe leaving my pets knowing that they will look after them as I would want, and since I have found them I wont use any where else. They are competitively priced and are really a lucky find.

If you are something specific, ask! They can order lots of stuff in and the prices are totally reasonable. The staff is fantastic, very friendly and always extremly helpful. I know their space is limited, but it would be nice too see if they could include some reptile supplies and food.

All of the people at Teckels are soooo lovely and so friendly…read more I rescued my dog from Teckels and pay regular visits back to them to drop off food, toys, blankets! Having dogs board at Teckels is really nothing to worry about - they will be taken very good care of. If your dog has special requirements - like needing to sleep on the left side of the kennel or whatever, Teckels will accommodate. The staff really are all pet lovers, and will treat your dog just like it's their own. Your dog will be exercised and loved and played with - whatever they desire! This is a bonus too, because any profit made from the boarding of your dogs goes directly to helping the rehoming side of Teckels. The only downside that I can think of is that the car park is only tiny and very pot-holey! But that doesn't affect the care and attention that pooches get at Teckels.

I was disappointed with the service I received from this establishment. The kennels managed to…read moremislay my dog's favourite toy (they are still trying to locate it) and mislaid her food container. After numerous phone calls and an email all of which they never answered I managed to track down the container after I phoned back for about the 4th time. Yes, they are a busy kennels but this is no excuse for poor customer service. It doesn't cost that much to return a phone call and in my opinion is just plain rude. Caring for animals includes ensuring that items belonging to an animal are returned at time of collection. They appear to be a disorganised team. Logic would tell me that when an animal is booked in and they note the details down, they also make note of any items that arrive with the animal so that they can be returned. Not returning phone calls just adds to the frustration and is bad business. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Large pet store. They don't actually sell animals, which is a plus in my book. What they do stock…read moreis a good range of stuff for pets. Not the basic cat and dog foods you get in a supermarket (which, let's face it, is where most of us buy them these days), but a good range of toys and accessories. They cater well for pets other than dogs and cats. Grooming tools covered the range from small brushes for guinea pigs right up to specialist brushes for dogs that involved a blade somewhere (apparently the instructions were inside!). I bought my cat Lizzie a small slicker brush, which was intended for guinea pigs or rabbits, but at £3.20 both me and her are very happy with it! You'd pay £6 for one that's a bit big really in London Other items that caught my eye were a selection of plastic toys for parrots, glow in the dark cat balls and woven grass nests for guinea pigs. They've not got 'everything I could think of', but have got a few things I hadn't thought of

I'd have no hestitation using them in the future for pet sitting (although they do get booked up very quickly, so some advance planning would be advisable!) They come round for an initial visit to talk through your requirements, and also provide references (all glowing!) and proof of CRB checks and insurance. What I really liked was the visit updates they leave when they were looking after Jack (it was a bit like nursery reports - a really nice touch!)
