They are usually pretty packed on Mondays and Fridays as she has a strong and loyal following. I moved to the area a year ago and signed up with her. I took her classes and was hooked. I literally craft my life schedule so I can attend as often as possible. I have spinal and lower back problems. She is a very experienced and highly qualified personal trainer. Her instruction made me stronger (cardio endurance and muscle strength), leaner and bikini ready! Also significantly improved (decreased) my back pain as I now have (visible) abs and much stronger core and balance. I am in my early 50s. I've gotten so many compliments on my physique, even told I pass for my 30s. A lot of older women in class, but don't let that fool you-these ladies blew me away with their endurance. Over time, you realize you are getting stronger and realize the improvements. Highly recommend. Oh they also offer yoga at 6:15 on Thursday evenings. Erin the yoga teacher is an experienced professional. Nikki teaches Sunday morning at 9a, and is also a very experienced fitness trainer and yoga instructor. Great classes to get invigorated and a solid stretch which is great for muscle recovery. Both are great for stress relief as well ‍

I've taken Zumba, yoga, step and aqua aerobics. Each one was led by a pleasant and informed instructor who was able to adjust to the level of fitness you have. The cardio space can get pretty crowded on a Saturday morning, but the rest of the week, you can get on a treadmill fairly easily. There are free weights and machines both upstairs and downstairs. I find the downstairs weight room to have a bit more space. The child care are children's classes are superb. I've felt comfortable each time I've brought my children along with me and I love having this as an option. I'm a fan of the YMCA and look forward to bringing my family here for many more years.

I usually drive on over early in the mornings before the gym gets packed. Trust me, I've been there in the evenings and it's almost impossible to get anything done. As soon as you open the door the moisture of sweat and wafting body odor greets you. Theres a scramble to get to the machine you wanna use and likely a wait for all others. Avoid this place in the evenings ! So anyway back to my awesome mornings .. There's usually a smiling face behind the counter to scan your key card. I don't use the lockers anymore but the locker rooms are usually pretty clean! The women's room is by the fleet of cardio machines near the mall entrance. Since I'm on the topic of cardio I must rave about the ARC TRAINER - I haven't been able to find them at any other gym but you can burn 1000 calories in an hour on that thing EASILY. It's my favorite cardio machine! I love the separate rooms they have like the full body circuit (that also includes a step aerobics station with a program from the "Biggest Loser"), the abdominal circuit and lastly a room for stretching and ab training. If you need something quick and effective - visit one of these rooms! They also offer tanning and hydro massage to members with black cards. I haven't used either of them yet though I hear great things. They also offer some group sessions (about 5 people) where the trainers will show you around and give you a few routines to do. It's definitely worth the membership. Spend $20/mo for the black card and bring one of your friends with you sometimes for a little extra competition! If all you need is the tools for fitness, bring your own drive and PF has got your back!
