Used this outfit in November to recover data from a hard drive and they took 3 x £ 85.00 payments from my card, one initial up front payment for Collection, Diagnostic report, and 1 hours labour, a second charge for more labour time that would be needed to extract available data and a third charge taken without concent after which they said that the drive was mechanically faulty, (it just made a clicking sound), and that it would cost £ 4,500.00 to fix.
I asked for my money back on the basis that if the drive was faulty how were they able to conduct a diagnostic report in the first place and also, in any event, if the hard drive was mechanically faulty they could not have carried out any labour time?
I also asked them to provide an actual diagnostic report to show that they had done what I had paid for that never materialised?
