I've been going here for over two years. Ben not only owns the shop, but he also runs it on his own. He isn't your typical cashier that will try and sell you anything to make a quick buck. He is knowledgeable and up to date on the latest and greatest for mods, kits, batteries, coils, you name it. The variety of juice, both regular and Salts, is so large that it is overwhelming when looking for a new flavor. He always has multiple coil selections in stock, and fully charged batteries when you need them the most. If you're ever in doubt, let him recommend the best. Whether it's the best juice for long coil life or the best tank for flavor and quality, Ben will know. He is the most honest person you will ever meet and puts his customers happiness before everything else. I cannot recommend this place enough. read more

No Butts About It - IPV V-IT with the Crown IV tank, amazing flavor and build quality. - Vape Shops Near Me - San Diego, California

This was a great place due to customer service. Unfortunately they are out of business most likely because of Covid.

One of the best vape shops in San Diego. Great atmosphere, friendly service, giant selection of products, and fair pricing. I only come here when I'm in the Point Loma/OB area. read more

Small little vape shop stocked to the brim with several varieties of juices, mods, coils, and other vaping accessories. Glad to see the shop is still here after several years, same owner and all. Support your local vape shop! read more

Ben is a great guy.... But the prices are different every time... Sometimes I'll pay $15 for a premium bottle of juice... Same juice next time is $18... More consistency would warrant a better rating. He caters to a lot of younger military customers as well. I really hope their Commands do not find out they do business with a shop that reeks of marijuana. Sure it's probably medical... and legal as of 2018. Unfortunately these young military guys don't actually realize they are government employees and aren't allowed to be affiliated with that. Careful there sailor- you won't make chief if you're caught here. read more

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR ALL YOUR VAPING NEEDS! In my opinion, there is no better vape store than No Butts About It & here's why: I found out No Butts About It! from my boss. I recently bought a starter vape pen in hopes of kicking the cig habit and due to the nicotine content of the oil I had purchased with the pen, found myself not using it and still smoking cigarettes. So, I asked for a referral to a vape place from my boss, who sent me directly to No Butts About It. As a newbie to the vape culture, it can be overwhelming to walk in to a vape store and have nothing but questions. I walked in to the store and felt a little lost, but my mind was immediately set at ease when Ben walked up to greet me. Ben is, hands down, just a really nice person. He's super knowledgeable about everything vape and was super helpful in tasting different oils and recommending a nicotine level for me, based on my smoking habits. Debbie joined us a few minutes into my shopping experience and she, too, is one of the nicest people you could ever meet! The 3 of us talked about flavors, other people's preferences when trying to quit smoking cigarettes, etc. Debbie brought out her vape and even taught me some new vape lingo! (I learned what a "mod" is - the pen or battery pack portion of the vape - yes, I'm very green to vaping) Ben and Debbie did not every try and oversell me, which I appreciated. I did end up buying a new tank (which was a step up from what I had been using with my starter pen) and 3 different oils. They talked to me about the differences in mods, but really stressed I needed to first get of cigs, AND use my vape before I went crazy on a new mod purchase. Both Ben and Debbie were so encouraging - and invited me to call or come back in to see them if I have massive cravings. What sweet, nice, caring people. Above all, they are GENUINE! As I was leaving (and was in the parking lot), Ben yelled out to me from the business, "Kelly!" I turned around and he said, "Wait, I have something else for you." Walking back towards the business, he came out and handed me a new pen-style mod, as my mod was not completely charged at the time of my visit! I have NEVER had any business treat me this well - they treat their customers like family. I really felt they have my best interest at heart with my new endeavor and it's amazing how such a small simple gesture can really make your day. My boyfriend and I are slowly getting into vaping - as long as I live in San Diego, I will never go any other store besides No Butts About It - Ben and Debbie have made a customer for life! I can't thank them enough for their care and kindness! read more

Pretty hospitable shop! The owners were so nice & their prices are pretty descent. Only downfall, pretty scary looking plaza.. Almost didn't want to Go in... But, I'm glad I did ! Great juice selection & devices. read more

Great shop, with a friendly staff that has some of the best knowledge among the many shops I've visited...unfortunately that's not saying a lot, but it's because there are so many college kids completely disinterested in customer service out there. I stopped by a couple times before actually finding the place open (part of the reason they lose a star), but once I did I found an enthusiastic owner pumping out product to the military guys who seemed to be constantly flowing through the door. What impressed me - there's a mix of clones and genuine products available, and the guy working the counter had no problem with knowing what was legit and what wasn't, and he has stuff priced accordingly. Most people I've met have no idea that there are $200 devices and $40 devices that are 99% similar, and they're either selling Fasttech knockoffs for the price you'd pay for a legit piece or intent on bashing anyone who doesn't have the cash to blow hundreds of dollars on what's essentially a metal tube with a spring and a couple contacts. Prices seemed to be mostly in line with what I'd be willing to pay - 20-30% higher than you can get something online from a U.S. vendor, 50-60% higher than if you'd imported the item yourself from overseas (and waited weeks and weeks and weeks for). I was impressed with this (there's no problem giving a local a few extra bucks to keep the lights on as long as you're not getting scalped), and made sure the guy working the counter knew I appreciated it. Contrast that with the shop that just moved into my office park, where they're getting $25 for a battery (Sony 18650 VTC4) that's inferior to one I can get shipped two-day mail for less than half the price (2 Sony 18650 VTC5's in a travel case for $20). 100% or more markup over US vendors, 200-300% over Chinese vendors seems to be the norm, which is why I do a ton of browsing but very little buying at most other shops. I picked up a couple vials of juice, and while it kills me to pay almost $1/ml for the good stuff, it seems $12-14 for 15ml is about standard for a brick-and-mortar and No Butts is on the low end of that spectrum. Will definitely be back, only avoiding a repeat trip because I've already got about 500ml of juice that I need to burn through before I can justify any more buys and there's this Valkyrie hybrid clone I've been drooling over that, if I can get guy to sell it to me for within $5-10 of what I can get it for online, will be leaving in my pocket. read more

This is my new go-to Vape shop. I've been a customer of at least 10 other shops over the last couple years, but I'm sure I won't be going anywhere else from now on. Ben's workshop is really a sight to behold. There are vice clamps, and air compressors, wires, display cases, a nice tasting bar, and even a fish tank. I encourage anyone new or experienced to wander in, have a seat in one of the old-time barber chairs, and strike up a conversation with Ben and his wife. You'll find exactly what you need here. read more

Just thought I would write an update since I have been going here a lot over the past six months or so... So, here is the update: Ya, this place is totally real and legit! I have been here about ten or so times since my first visit and nothing has changed (and that is a good thing!) Service is top notch! The owner really knows his stuff! There is no over sale or anything like that. If you are new to the vape experience, he will take the time to walk you through the process to set you up with what suits your needs. If you are experienced and just need supplies, it's as easy as walking in to get what you want and getting out fast. All I can say is this business is true and honest with quality, price and service. Now, after reading other reviews, I just must feel that I need to say this little bit again.....Ya, you can find things online for a 'slightly' less price. However, once you consider in shipping cost and time, along with zero personal service, you are not saving anything. Here you get what you want with excellent personal service on the spot! Nothing can beat that! It is a true mom and pop store, and a local business. I don't see myself going anywhere else, based on all the things I stated above. Love this place, love the owner and his knowledge and personal service, and great product at a great price. This is the definition of a local business. read more

Whether a new or longtime Vaper you MUST stop by and visit Ben and his awesome family at "No Butts About It". He's got all the basics to get you going as well as all the latest and greatest higher end stuff to boot. His juice selection is among the best in San Diego and it seems like every time I go in he's got something new to try! Perhaps the coolest part of the shop is their commitment to helping folks kick smoking by switching to this safer alternative. It's also just a great place to stop by and hangout at after work - kind of like a bar or cigar lounge. So if you're new to the game and are just curious as to how all this works, stop by this shop as they aren't intimidating like others and are willing to take their time to teach you how everything works and when you're ready to get started they can set you up at a great price! read more

This is my favorite place in town! I have been to several! He has the best, consistent prices, always has new stuff coming in. He has a great selection of mods, tanks and juices. Ben is super knowledgable and has been in business for about 7yrs now. Super military friendly too! Also, offers free drinks to anyone that comes in. He occasionally has surprises for his regulars, which is super nice. I cannot wait for him to get tshirts and hats for his store! I have been going to him for about 3yrs now and my husband for about 4 now. He does mainly in store, but he has told us he can do orders over the phone. He normally has some sort of sale going on too since he is always moving product too! I just bought 2 120ml bottles for $27 each the other day. And here is the mod, tank and acrylic tank I got from him. It's an sx mini sl class mod, with a crown 4 tank, just with an acrylic replacement fishbowl. read more

No Butts About It helped me quit a pack a day cigarette habit I had for almost 20 years. Ben, the owner, is so friendly and will go out of his way to help you. His prices are great. There are always deals, making his vape shop the best prices for vapes and juices. He carries a huge selection of different brands to make sure he carries almost any flavor around. He is always introducing me to new flavors I had never even heard of. It is such a positive environment in the vape shop. Everybody is so friendly. It's funny, the customers I have seen come in the shop are obviously return customers because Ben not only greets them by name but usually knows what they want before they have to ask. It's the Cheers of Vape Shops. When I go to get a new filter not only does he offer to change it out for me but every time he changes it he also cleans the inside of my vape and doesn't even charge extra to do it. I love that because it can be a messy job sometimes. It keeps my vape running smooth and prevents any problems that can occur. One time I lost a pin in my vape. I thought I was going to have to purchase a whole new top. Ben took the time and custom made me a replacement pin and didn't charge me for his time or the part. His customer service goes above and beyond the call of duty. Ben is also very educated about any questions you might have regarding vaping. He explained in detail the difference vaping effects your body as opposed to cigarettes. He knows the history and progress of vaping. I have also heard him answer countless questions about juices, vapes and everything in between. If you have a vape question, Ben is your man. He always makes time to answer as many questions as you want to ask. If you vape at all or want to quit smoking cigarettes, do yourself a favor and go to the best (and only as far as I am concerned the ONLY) Vape Shop, No Butts About It. There is a big parking lot in the back, so there is always parking. You can also park in front, too. read more

While visiting my best friend in San Diego (from Atlanta, Georgia), my wife and I wanted to find a vapor shop near by. We saw a few on Google maps, but chose this location. We're new to vaping and wanted to get me a sub tank and her a new kit from her upgrade of an Ego. Ben and his wife were excellent! While getting us set up with what we needed, I noticed that he also had tools in the shop. This guy made some of his own equipment! This was awesome! They treated us with great kindness and gave us excellent tips. Ben was even gracious enough to tell us a great location for site seeing. We are returning to San Diego and will definitely return to him and his wife's shop. These two were wonderful with what they did and how they do it. Great shop. read more

Felt like i was getting hustled the second Ben the owner of the store started talking to me. All of his juices were OUT OF THIS WORLD EXPENSIVE and compared to a smoke shop had by far some of the highest prices I have ever seen in my vaping life. This is the best Vape shop I have been to in all of San Diego county. Especially if you are just switching over from cigarettes or trying to kick the cigarette habit. Not impressed at all with this shop. This guy sells a K100 for $100....you can get the EXACT SAME ONE on ebay for $25. Also the guy drilled out the airhole too big and his build sucked. It's ok, hard place to get to for the most part. They sell mechanical mods mostly and I look for VV/VW mods mostly. The selections isn't very big from the mods and juices. The place is fairly clean but does have it's share of people that hang around the place. This place is more well suited for a older group of people because I couldn't imagine anyone below 35 parlaying for more the 5 minutes at a time. read more
