They have a veggie combo (£13), which is vegan, and which comes with 5 different of the usual Ethiopian veggie dishes (misir wot, shiro, ) and salad. No extra injera though!-- just the injera the food is served on. The food came out in about 25 minutes. Luckily, the lack of extra injera is not that big an issue, as there is plenty of food; but it makes it harder to scoop up the food. A couple of the dishes were slightly undersalted but were otherwise flavoured nicely, especially the shiro and misir wot. The other dishes--especially the undressed salad--were less interesting. I capped off the meal with an espresso, which was just wonderful--high-quality beans and machine. I would come back just for the espresso. The one guy serving was tremendously friendly and hospitable. The place itself is fairly bare bones but comfortable enough. Some of the larger tables by the entrance have cool traditional, circular Ethiopian tables made just for the round plates that the food is served in -- pretty cool. All in all, solid Ethiopian. I have only had one other Ethiopian meal in the UK as of now, so not sure how this compares; but compared to all Ethiopian food experiences I've had, this is middle of the road. The ackee (also known as 'vegetable brain'!) is a fruit that can be poisonous if it's not prepared properly - but rest assured I've had this dish many times from here without any ill effects!

We came a couple of weeks ago and had some tea, then some food and then just chilled in the Shisha garden for an hour or so. It was so good! The food is incredibly fresh and the mint tea is so refreshing I could drink it all day. In fact, I found out that it wasn't actually tea, but a specific type of mint leaves, which makes me like it even more. I've eaten here a number of times and everything has been great. I particularly liked the mezze platter as it gives you the opportunity to sample lots of stuff. This would be such a great place for a different birthday or work party. It's definitely one of my favourite places in Bristol.

To my eyes it seems to be the chewy granola slices from Sainsbury's finest range dipped in some milk chocolate, a bit of a mark up but still a nice idea. The vibe here is relaxed and comfortable, even if it is chilly outside you feel sheltered and snug among all the throws and cushion seatings. However if it fills up inside, there are outside tables where you can enjoy your food too! For vegetarians, vegan, and gluten free folks - they have a very extensive menu that is very clearly marked. ( I personally recommend the vegetarian enchilada.)
