This DJ not only played good music for 4 hours straight, but he also managed to have a balloon machine on hand and was making balloons for roughly 15 yelling kids, all while taking song requests and playing music without a pause or complaint. We payed for the upgraded lighting package which was totally worth it for the extra $50. The balloon machine was a pleasant unexpected surprise! He kept the kids entertained while the adults were able to eat! And he was a great emcee and very friendly. The only reason for one less star is someone at the office forgot to give him our song list, but he was able to play it after we emailed it to his phone. Also, didn't like that he didn't have one song we wanted and we had to pay and download it for him on iTunes. Other than that though, we totally recommend this company! Just make sure you call the day before to make sure the DJ brings your song list and has all your songs you want played.

The magician I wanted to hire was booked somewhere else and I only found out a few days before, but the balloon sculpture artist Mark recommended instead was an absolute hit with the kids as well as the adults, which was a pleasant surprise. He made my husband the most outrageous birthday hat. Right when he was supposed to be done, one of the kids tripped and popped his balloons and got upset, and he stayed longer to make him (and a few other stragglers) more balloons. Truly kind. The photographer David was also really so helpful, friendly, and on it! He came early and helped with some of the set up... he was attentive and also very nice to talk to. Very natural (sometimes it's awkward when a photographer's in your face taking pictures but it wasn't awkward at all). We got a USB full of pictures right after the party!
