I worked late into the night, and have a history of gassing up, purchasing snacks etc. well before I picked my snacks and paid for my gas, I visited the ladies room. I'm not kidding you, but the restroom was filled with the local lot lizards drinking and cleaning themselves. I did noticed an employee standing near the door observing the raucous; I quickly used the restroom and walked out, picked out my fav tea and a bag of Chex muddy's. I stood in line for about ten mins, once I reached the cashier to pay, the same employee that was in the restroom was standing near the cashier. I was approached in a very unprofessional manner and accused of stealing some alcohol and drinking it in the restroom. Now, let me make this clear, I am not a drinker, let alone a smoker or drug user. I feel as if I were racially profiled by the employee who was literally observing in The bathroom. I politely explained my position and asked the manager to pull the cameras or call the police to have this insane accusation handled. The manager declined all of my requests. I was literally livid and embarrassed. I did call the corporate office the following day and demanded the cameras to be pulled and an apology' for discrediting my integrity. I will not do business with this place of business based on my negative experience.

Maybe the big paper mache Shrek, Donkey, and Cat in the Hat are made of gypsum...Who knows? They are pretty raggedy. I don't think that the Shrek even stands up anymore. That's what you get for trying to make a cartoon character come to life. Who would believe that something with a head that big would be able to walk anywhere but cartoon land? At any rate, this is the last store you're going to see driving North for a long way. It's the last store you're going to see anywhere near the Blackrock Playa. Everyone I've ever encountered there has been friendly and helpful. They even have a little corner dedicated to taxidermy.

There is a post office here, but there is no counter service. It's primarily. P.O. Box and mail pick up by local residents. They do have a 24 hour mail drop, with pick up in the early morning. The convenience store is nice. It's clean, and the people are friendly. I like the decorations in the store. It has your usual. Beer, wine, food, snack, snacks, sundries, and it also has a small hardware section, which a good amount is winter gear. It has a small but nice souvenir section as well. Prices are pretty typical on some items, and then on others, they are a bit higher. I got an amazing beef jerky, and the price was reasonable for what I got They do sell chains in the winter time, but believe me, you are going to pay for them. There's plenty of parking, including truck and RV parking. There's also a popular snow park in the winter time. The elephant in the room, is, of course, the gas prices. You are pretty much in the middle of nowhere, with only a few gas stations in the immediate area, so you are definitely going to pay for gas.
