One of the early hyper coasters and at 230 feet and 80 mph, it delivers! That front row is insane with the first drop. Where is the track down? Oh there it is...aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh! It's an awesome ride with plenty of air time. And that tight turn midway through is great. The only other hyper I've done is Mako which is a little shorter and slower, but I think it gives you better air time. They being said, Nitro is a beast and a must do every time.

Super super amazing times are always in store for when you hit the Nitro and go flying through an extensive length of Twisted turning drops turns and sudden spins! Nitro is a super long ride and totally a great one when it comes to the Coaster world as longer is sometimes better and in this case it is soo much better and just all around fun that takes you ever so high up! One thing I thought was super unique about this coaster as somewhere in the middle of it they have a spiral that sends you spiraling upward in circles instead of downward like the majority of coasters like to do leaving for a totally unique ride about midway through that will leave you wanting more and more! Nitro is very well fitted for this area of the park as it takes you way out into the trees to enjoy your ride with a view if it's during the day and at night taking you into complete and total darkness so you don't know what way your going to be going next it's that reason I think i enjoyed this ride soo much as I had some day rides as well as some night rides each of which felt a bit different as the lighting had changed from seeing where your going to almost darkness something that I totally loved! Overall you can't go wrong with a ride on the Nitro as it's super smooth and all around awesome with it's totally fun layout and fast speeds make it one of the best rides in the park so hit the Nitro and fly on over for some coaster fun!

Height: 230ft Speed: 80mph Thrill: 5/5 One of the best coasters in the entire theme park. Nitro is a fan favorite because it's so incredible. One of the tallest drops in the park. With only a lap bar holding you in place this ride gives you the right about of fear and excitement. This ride doesn't have corkscrews or loops but it's a huge rush to speed down the hill. This rollercoaster also takes a photo so don't forget to pose. I really enjoyed this ride! I know you will too! *please vote below if you enjoyed my review*

This is an ode to my favourite theme park ride in the world. Nitro is a steel hyper-coaster (over 200feet tall) located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey. It is the perfect ride which makes you feel like you're literally flying. It rides very smoothly and shows no signs of becoming rough over the years I've been on it. This smoothness and the lack of inversions means that I can get back on again and again and keep riding. The 4 abreast seating with 3 cars running means that the ride gobbles up queues. Allied to the Nitro loading crews always working flat out, this means that I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes in line. The restraints came just over your hips, giving an air of freedom which is restricted by over the shoulder harnesses. Despite having a floor, your feet are also dangling, adding to the sense of freedom. The ride up to 200 feet affords a great view of the surrounding countryside and you get the first view of the ride itself - Nitro's position in one corner of the park means that you can't actually see the whole ride before you get to the top of the first drop. Then, it's an amazing first drop with bags of airtime all the way round the ride. The designers have created the perfect shape on all the drops and hills, giving pops of airtime everywhere and unlike most gravity coasters, you get airtime right to the very end of the ride. Best seats for airtime have definitely got to be at the back. Nitro, I salute you!!

I visited Six Flags Great Adventure for my friend's birthday, and we spent the entire day at the…read morepark during Fright Fest. Overall, we had a good time, but there are definitely some areas where the experience could be improved. We purchased the Fright Fest bundle that included park admission and an Express Pass for the haunted attractions. Unfortunately, the process for using the Express Pass was much more complicated than it needed to be. The QR code provided with the purchase is essentially not enough on its own. When you arrive at a haunted attraction, you have to scan another QR code, log into the website using the same information you used to purchase your tickets, activate the pass, select the attraction you're entering, and repeat the process for each attraction. Having to constantly return to the website and go through those steps was inconvenient and took away from the experience. It would be much easier if the original QR code could simply be scanned at each attraction. Another improvement I would suggest is including Express Pass access for the regular rides in the Fright Fest bundle. Since the bundle already includes an Express Pass for the haunted attractions, having that same convenience for the main attractions would make the package feel much more worthwhile. One thing I highly recommend, though, is the Premium All Day Dining Pass. This honestly helped make our entire day much easier and saved us a lot of money. You can get an entrée and a side every 90 minutes, plus unlimited drink refills every 15 minutes. Most of the restaurants accept the pass, which makes it especially useful if you're spending the entire day at the park. When you visit your first dining location, they give you a wristband that you scan whenever you use the dining pass. Considering that an entrée can cost around $20, eating three times can already make the pass worthwhile. For around $45, being able to eat throughout the day and get free refills is a great value for someone planning to stay at the park for several hours. Overall, we had a fun birthday day at Six Flags, but I think the Express Pass system could be made much simpler and more user-friendly. The dining pass was definitely one of the highlights, while the haunted-attraction Express Pass was the biggest frustration. With some improvements to the ticketing system and bundle options, the overall experience could be much better.

First, several rides were closed -- possibly due to short staffing or needed repairs. I'd suggest the website list how many rides are closed on a given day so visitors can decide in advance whether it's worth the trip. Given how much a visit costs, it's frustrating to arrive and find a chunk of the rides unavailable. Second, the food was great, but there should be more healthier options on the menu. Finally, at every ride we visited, the staff seemed unmotivated -- dragging their feet, no greetings, no smiles. I'd recommend that staff orientation emphasize how important it is to welcome guests warmly, ideally with a smile.

The Coaster itself is awesome because I kinda felt like I didn't know how it would send me next wile it was a smooth ride overall I definitely enjoyed how it twisted over that super cool looking twisted mister in the middle of the twisting coaster fun! Bizarro changed it's name from Medusa a few years ago I remember this as I have always wanted to ride this coaster as this floorless style is one of my favorites to ride anywhere and it was the first ever one built so ya you know you totally gotta ride it! You're helping the Justice League fight off the villains (Joker and Lex Luther) that are trying to take over Metropolis. Everyone gets their own gun to shoot the screens and the car moves you from screen to screen. However, the ride is not properly maintained. Some times the guns don't work properly (delayed or not at all) and sometimes there are issues with the screens themselves. So 5 stars for the concept but 3 for the ride in its current state. If you are Just looking to escape the heat outside for a couple minutes, it's fine.

The ride itself is a shoot em up with 6 guns (6 riders) in each car - though 4 would probably be more comfortable. It's the DC villains vs the DC heroes story and you just shoot at the screens for points. You don't get anything for being the winner in the car, but it's all in good fun. They provide you with 4D glasses and the graphics during the ride are of course good. If you get motion sickness easily, I would think about riding this. It's not rough, but there are some half spins, turns, and such that may make some feel uneasy. At the end of the ride you have to exit through the gift shop - which is by design of course. The gift shop is nice enough (and pricey), but there are others throughout the park with other selections as well. On a hot day, the AC will feel really nice in here. Overall a good and fun ride. A standout in Six Flags all things considered.
