CONSUMER BEWARE. , It is now 5/4/21 fence fence Pickets are coming loose from using to short of nails, and interior drywall screws also splitting, shoddy work done on 12/8/20 never called back to try to fix anything very dishonest. not sure how but my first review isn't showing this is there 2nd review and on main page it only shows 1, gonna post updated pics of this disaster of a job they did.
CONSUMER BEWARE. I hired this guy to build 300lf X 6' Dog ear board on board privacy fence the end of November 2020. Met with him 2 times before doing the job to go over details on how it was to be built, to clarify everything. he said he would be using galvanized screws. 1 1/4 for inner board, and 2'' for outer board to achieve proper fastening for 1/2'' fence pickets. instead he used 3 different nails 11/4'' stub nails used for truss anchors , some smaller 1'' nail and 1 1/4 roofing nails than 2'' interior drywall screws. complete mess. the wood is separating coming loose and splitting from the nails being to short, you will see in pictures what A total disaster,
half of all this material is splitting down the middle its supposed to be 1/2'' thick and it is barley 3/8 '' thick. also hundreds of boards no even lapped correctly , which are supposed to be lapped at least 3/4''. you can see strait threw almost 3/4 s of the job, some areas out of plumb at least 1 1/2'' he said he would take care of it all and he would come back at later day and repair and fastened everything properly, with correct screws as we agreed on in beginning. he came back for half a day with 3 guys, and instead of doing it like he was supposed to , he put one 2'' interior drywall screw in the middle of each picket, causing it to pull in and warp and split more, and sharp end of screws sticking out the other side were it can cut someone. these drywall screws will rust and bleed and dissolve and eventually boards will come loose as there already doing. so I asked him are they drywall screws, and he Lied straight to my face and said no there exterior. I knew he was lying. went to Lowes next day were he said he got them and sure enough like I knew, he lied. this guy is as dishonest as they come. this is some of the worst carpentry / fence work I've seen and I've been doing construction and home repairs for over 35 years. I wanted to give someone Local the work and give him a chance. I should have never paid him final payment until the work was done correctly, big mistake. now 4 months later all the fence boards are coming loose, splitting and separating, Total disaster, will now cost me twice the amount I paid to replace. should have done a background check on this guy before I hired him, He has only been doing this since late 2019 on Sunbiz LLC search. also discovered his real name Is Dalton not Eugene, after doing A google background search on his real full name, Wow now it all makes sense spent the time to write this because I would hate to see anyone else go threw this, would not make the same mistake I made check the work thoroughly before you pay this guy in full , seems like he has been getting by with field fence work, definitely not board on board fence, check out the pics I posted and see for your self, you be the judge read more
