My wife and I have been going to Illinois Dermatology Institute in Palos Heights for years, and we…read morehave consistently had great experiences. Most recently, I saw Allison Manley, PA-C, and was impressed by how efficiently the office runs. I noticed that some reviewers have mentioned long wait times, but that has not been our experience. I was taken back quickly and examined within minutes, rather than being left waiting around as happens at so many medical offices. Allison performed a thorough full-body skin examination and explained what she was doing and what she was looking for throughout the appointment. She was professional, personable, and very easy to talk to. As a 60-year-old lifelong sun worshiper, I half-expected a lecture about my tan, but she addressed it professionally and without making the visit uncomfortable. From the front desk through the examination itself, the entire visit was efficient, thorough, and comfortable. We have been very pleased with the care here and would highly recommend the Palos Heights office.

They were both very caring and very informative with what I was having done. I had to go back to take care of another issue but Allison was not available in my time frame. I was then treated by Ruby De La Torre and her assistant and they were just as caring as Allison. I don't get the bad reviews. Some people complained about waiting too long in the examination room. They are busy. That didn't bother me at all. The staff by the front desk were also friendly and courteous as well. People are human. Thank you, Myrna Larsen. Worth, IL.

Regarding Laser Med Spa: Laser Hair-Removal for a Small, Medium, or Large Area at Laser Med Spa (Up…read moreto 89% Off). Three Locations Available. Several RED FLAGS on this Groupon. (1st) I called the Laser Med Spa to ask a question to see if my 16yr old daughter could be treated. I was told yes but before I purchase the Groupon I can come in for a consulation then if we choose to go ahead with the treatment I could purchase the hair removal treatment for my daughter onsite wthout having to go through Groupon. (2nd) Set appointment for Thursday 03/19/2015 @4:45pm. When we arrived there was no record of our appointment. They spoke with Dr. Ghani who agreed to see us. (3rd) Dr. Ghani had no bed side manner with my 16yr old daughter, very rude & abrasive (even if what is said was true) Dr. Ghan behaved in a very unprofessional manner. All that said even if the treatment is free I would NEVER allow my daughter to be treated at that facility or any other that associates with Dr. Ghani

So far, so good. Four treatments down, ONE left & basically…read moremy chin hair all but gone. I had fair amount of stubborn hair & much of it ingrown due to prior treatments elsewhere (and plenty of electrolysis) Yeah, I expect I might have few finer hairs left later on but honestly, I've been to FAR more expensive laser hair removals (mostly in Oak Brook for 3 times the cost) with NO lasting results. Sometimes NO results at all. Yeah...and THAT no result was Oak Brook. Ridiculous! I was suspecting maybe they failed to TURN on machine. In that instance, had no choice but to complain with total lack of evidence ANYTHING was being done on last visit so they turned it HIGH, thus, burned my skin.... also with NO results. Other than burn of course~!~ This is SUCH an amazing surprise given it was a groupon but they've obviously skilled technicians & one KILLER top of the line laser machine. As believe me, the machine they use is VERY important. As is the hands you're in (technician) I'm very pleased. Kinda over the moon!! I HATE chin hair, no lady should deal with such! They are absolutely worth trying yourself. I should add, I'm pretty stubborn (and do not like to tweeze, though I do when NOT lasering! ...still---want it permanently GONE) so I've now done laser On JUST this ONE area like 5 times in the past (nearly!) 20 years & what I can report is THIS laser spa appears to compete with my only ONE other HUGE success --and I mean HUGE---which so happened to be my first time (now closed but in Merrillville) in which I had the most hair to treat & virtually ALL was gone for about 6 to maybe 8 years! Plus it was entirely painless (just like a snap of rubber-band) and poof.....every single hair, ALL of it, fell right out over course of next few days when washing face (thy were burnt out) . I am VERY much hoping THIS one is my last hurrah---and won't that be exciting!!
