We were given an estimate, false insurance and false business registration (Roberto Nino Jr was misrepresenting himself as his father who has the same name, business name, and address). How can someone who is 22 years old have 20+ years of experience? Before I knew better, I gave a 50% deposit, which is illegal in PA. When we got home from work his forms were not even level or plumb let alone within the specs left taped to the inside of the front window. Jr wanted a chance to make it right, so we were willing to work with him and his father, to which he refused and said the business was his, but in fact the documents provided were his father's. Needless to say, he had every excuse in the book as to why he couldn't come work, he couldn't find helpers, he broke his arm, he couldn't rent the equipment he needed that day, it just went on and on or he just plain never called or showed up. The snow fell, he missed his deadline, and he was fired. We filed with the AG's Office and DJ's office, and he avoided the constable. We even got PSP involved. After having to hire another company to come clean up his concrete and rebar, I am out $4,000.00 plus an entire winter of business income. To date, we still have not been reimbursed and the constable has not been able to serve him. I've even seen multiple people post on Next Door he took their deposit and never went back. I would call the Builder's Association to ask for reputable contractors and I certainly would never hire this guy!!! read more
