I thought my family member called there this morning & let them know neither one of us could bring her today. They called & let me know they were charging me $25 for a no show. I get they could've taken another appointment since we didn't show up. Honestly, I drive by them a few times a day & they do have their slow times. It's not like we had the appointment scheduled months in advance. The receptionist just kept reminding me that I will owe them the $25. It's so great they weren't concerned about my sick, dying animal. This used to be a great place when Dr. Lepley was the vet. Now they try and over charge for everything and have such a lack of compassion for the animals and owners. Very sad.

We had our 2 1/2 year old Puppy in last week for his physical and Dr. Ryan found a bacteria in our pups blood. Our Boy Rusty is now on a drug regimen and will make a full recovery. Three years ago our dog got lymphoma. When it was time to say goodbye, we experienced the most peaceful and loving transition by the staff and Dr. Ryan. I will never go to another Veterinary clinic. I've always wondered why they chose the name Family Friends. At first, I assumed it was because pets are members of the family, and the name had a nice ring to it. Over the past few days, I understand it differently. Family Friends are truly friends to our family. It's a large practice with a remarkable staff--every one of them kind, caring, knowledgeable, and professional. Many practices achieve "friendly." Family Friends has created something more: a place where each staff member steps forward like a true friend, without hesitation, and goes the extra mile. That sets them apart. This past week, as we worked to connect with specialty veterinary services for our dog, Family Friends exchanged supportive emails, answered questions, and listened patiently as we tried to talk through tears. They took time with every visit, showed genuine care, and did everything they could to help us move forward. Their kindness has made a very difficult time feel less overwhelming.
