Contacted through Yelp, due to area/location of vehicle…read more Servicing requested included replacing a 2003 Ford transmission, freon recharge, and was going to see if they had points-inspections to finish up safety overhaul. Sent that request as 2 described requests for service. Response was "Thank you for reaching out to Culp's Automotive. Unfortunately, we are unable to put your transmission in for you. We suggest Transmission Specialists in West Monroe. Sorry we couldn't help." And, to round it out, lastly, "Unable to service." So, they state they don't do any service work for for my vehicle tells me 2 things. They're probably skimming or conspiracy scamming insurances with customer-help or both. It's supposed to be an automotive garage, and it's a FORD EXPLORER, and they don't service them.. or do a transmission replacement. Transmission Specialists is an okay business, they actually move a lot of volume and do bodywork too.. I was purposely not going to the specialists shops because they are supposed to be the insurance companies first kind of choice, right?? So, could easily be a month out for scheduling and they post yes, our prices are expensive, but they show the creditation.. If I were trying to just have it put in by anyone, I could.. but the point is their business exists.. it's not a bar for alcoholics.. that's the same value as telling me where their favorite parking lot is.. no value. I genuinely wonder what they proport to service.. probably only vehicles 10 or less years old so ppl wouldn't notice upcharges from hell. If anyone uses this business, post your invoices!!! I would definite them as a scam risk, don't waste your time unless you're in the market for a $55 wiper blade replacement plus cost kind-of-pickup-gambit. Other than that, probably some body work and painting.. they probably want to start in the thousands and only take half the jobs that come in.. dk. But insurance companies do have bay requests with some shops, so that move to turn down works, plenty of them, have raised lots of questions with me.. They probably want to start at 5k for transmission replacement and just blatantly told on themselves as those shops that'll close up all around you. They're not competing with dealerships services or anything, but located around desiel mechanic shops. Very suspicious that they've been known to work on normal gas engine vehicles, plenty of times passing. Avoid them, they're taking up space hoping the city will take pictures of their hand tools.

But when I phoned ACE and told them of our recent move and about how we like keeping our vehicles well tuned, it was as if I were talking to an old friend. Kendon welcomed us to Ruston and invited us to "come on down" anytime so we could meet in person. I cannot express enough how professional, kind, personable and helpful everyone at shop is. In my experiences, they go out of their way to make sure we understand what needs to be down to keep the cars purring! Whenever there's been a problem, the guys at ACE are there to remedy the issue-fast! We have full confidence in ACE/Kendon and the entire team!
