I had an ACL reconstruction back then from a basketball injury(2011), and (since I'm highly active) I've re-torn my ACL recently again, twice- July 2019, Jan 2020(was doing something i shouldn't have been). Each time I've had to have surgery, I've had the MRI and surgery within 2 weeks of finding out that it was re-torn along with different options including surgical and non surgical. I've opted for surgery each time since I personally am highly active. The facility itself is well built, very clean, and well maintained. The staff is great, very friendly-from the ladies(Sara) at the front desk all the way to the nurses in back! If i ever have an issue i can call and get in the office quickly to get things straightened out. Dr. Chaudri is great! He's down to Earth, has excellent bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable, and tells you exactly what's wrong and gets straight to the point. He answers all questions you ask(if you ask any since he already explains things.) On a occasion or two I've also have had Dr Durudogan read me results etc. he was also very well mannered, very knowledgeable, and has good bedside manner as well. I HIGHLY recommend this location and these doctors especially Dr Chaudri.

I had seen this physician years ago and…read moretrusted him and his expertise so I came back after receiving word from a university orthopedic doctor that I only had one option of fusing my joint. My scan was reviewed in detail along with receiving a thorough exam leading to the conclusion I don't need surgery at all but rather shoe modification and some physical therapy. Incredibly thankful for a surgeon who genuinely wants his patients to feel better and not just make money off of them by doing unnecessary surgery. The only downfall to the office was the front desk staff was less than friendly but radiology and the doctor were amazing. Thank you Dr. Garras.

I finished the paperwork, and then the physician assistant came to take me to the waiting room, I noticed it was set up for an X-ray. I told the radiology technician that I had already I done imaging before, that it should be in their system, and that I also had an MRI with the report.they took the MRI to upload do the doctor can see it. I went back to the waiting area, and while I was sitting there, the assistant came out and started arguing with me in front of other patients, saying that my referral was only for the lower back. I was sure it covered my whole back. I asked her to double-check because I had already called my primary care doctor's office, and they confirmed it was for my entire back. Instead of checking, she told me,right there in front of everyone, that I was "rude," just because she didn't want to go verify the information. I stepped outside and asked to speak with the office manager. After a while, I met with her and explained everything that happened. I told her it was unacceptable for a staff member to speak to a patient that way and call them rude just because she didn't want to do her job. I also confirmed again that my referral was for my whole back. The manager was understanding, apologized, and brought the assistant to apologize as well. However, they still insisted that I get another X-ray, claiming it was the doctor's request--which later turned out not to be true. Since I had already taken time off work, spent half my day there, and was dealing with back pain and needed to see a specialist, I decided to stay. I did the X-ray and then waited another hour to see the doctor. When I finally saw the doctor, he hadn't reviewed my MRI, didn't seem familiar with my imaging or reports, and had no real understanding of my case. He just took the written MRI report from the radiologist and read it--something I had already done myself before coming in and was prepared to discuss. He also took my MRI report and made a copy of it to use for his paperwork. The service was terrible, the office and management were dishonest, and I would not recommend this place to any patient.

They have a small waiting room, maybe 10 chairs, with 2 empty seats. The lady I sat next to was complaining about the wait as I was sitting down. As time went by, and people were going in and out, I noticed that people were being called back that came after me. Now, I'm reasonable and I know that there are other services being provided. However, a lady came in and sat right next to me. We chatted for about 30 minutes about different things. She told me that she was there to see Dr. Kendall. At about 11:15, someone came out and called her. At this point, I've been there for nearly 90 minutes! And why is this lady being called before me? So, I get up and I wait behind a lady checking in. Someone walks up and nicely asked if I was checking in. I said I want to make sure you all did not forget about me and her response was that there were only 2 doctors there. This has nothing to do with why people who walked in after me are being called back before me. So, I sat down, made an appt for 11:45 at an Orthopedic doctor down the street. I walked out, made it to my appointment at 11:40 and was almost immediately whisked away for an x-ray. I saw a doctor and was out of there within 45 minutes. So, I wasted a $55 copay at an office that did not provide me any services. I don't know if existing patients have priority over new patients at this office, but this should have been explained when I made the appointment. The lady I chatted with says Dr Kendall is a great doctor. Give him a try if you've got all day to wait.

I struggled for almost 2 months to get anything taken care of for my knee and was sent from one place to another - a friend recommended MidAmerica when I realized my son also needed to be seen due to a sports related injury. Everything moved smooth and quick for him so when I felt I was out of options and pretty hopeless my husband said "let's just call them and try to get you in" that was Friday and they had me booked for a Monday appointment. Saw Dr Meizel - he let me know my options and we opted for surgery. Staff was great because I'm not good with surgeries - tend to get panicky and they were very kind and understanding. Surgery on Tuesday and started therapy that Friday. I'm just over 6 weeks and have started walking thanks to Jess, Hannah and the crew in the therapy dept. they're all really great, listen to concerns, talk you through things and are the hype team I needed to even mentally survive this whole situation. Haven't really dealt with anyone that I could really complain about. Maybe some people aren't as cheerful as others but not all of us absolutely love our jobs so I get it. HIGHLY recommend and will send everyone that ever is looking for orthos their way.

I fell at work and suffered an injury and was sent to MidAmerica Orthopedics in Palos Hills. I had…read moreto see two specialists, one for my hand and wrist and another for my hip. The day after the fall I was experiencing pain in my shoulder, wrist, and hip and groin area. The doctor I saw for my hand and wrist provided an order for occupational therapy, which has worked wonders for improving my wrist mobility. I later had a CT scan and was seen by Dr. Kevin Lindsay-Rivera and PA Alexandrea Bosen. During that visit we reviewed the CT scan and Dr. Lindsay-Rivera explained the different types of tears and possibilities that could be causing my pain. During that same visit I informed both Dr. Kevin Lindsay-Rivera and PA Alexandrea Bosen about all of the areas where I was experiencing pain. Dr. Lindsay-Rivera performed a physical exam and when he moved my right leg inward I felt a sharp pain. He stopped the exam and suggested getting an MRI to see if there was a tear or anything further going on. At that point PA Bosen stated that she would clear me to return to work. I explained again that I was still in pain. Her response felt very condescending, as if I was trying to stay off work rather than explaining that I was genuinely in pain. The visit ended with her saying that we would schedule a follow up appointment on March 5, 2026 and re evaluate then. I had the MRI completed at an outside imaging facility because workers compensation only covers certain locations. On March 5, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. I arrived for my appointment with the MRI disc. The staff took the disc and then realized that the imaging center had not sent over the written report. Because of that, I was not seen and I was not evaluated. I explained that my pain had actually gotten worse. Once again I felt dismissed and was told they would contact me with their findings. I called multiple times to get an update because I needed to report back to my job with the results. I eventually spoke with PA Bosen and again I felt dismissed when I explained the situation. She became defensive and said, "From an orthopedic point, you are okay to return to work. We understand that you are in pain but we cannot help you with that." I explained that saying I was clear to return to work would make my employer believe I had been fully evaluated and found to be fine. The next day, March 6, I went back to the office to get a work note because I had been dismissed the day before without an exam or even a proper conversation. I was told that Dr. Lindsay-Rivera was out of the office and that I could not get a note because his documentation had not yet been finalized. I then spoke with the workers compensation coordinator, Cris Garcia. She told me she would take care of it on Monday, March 9, when the doctor returned to the office. Monday passed with no update. On Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. I called again and was told that the doctor had not responded to her the day before. Later that afternoon, around 4:00 p.m., my job called and informed me that I had been released back to work and was advised to follow up with my primary care physician because the injury supposedly did not appear to be related to the fall. They even suggested it might be something internal such as ovarian pain or appendicitis. At that point I felt completely ignored and made to feel like a liar. Last week I had my annual appointment with my primary care physician and explained the fall and the pain I have been experiencing. Her response was, "That sounds like a groin strain or a hip joint injury. Did they give you a referral to a sports medicine doctor or physical therapy?" I told her no and that they were simply trying to release me back to work. She then asked, "Even though you are still experiencing pain?" My primary care physician knows my medical history and did not jump to conclusions about appendicitis or ovarian pain. In all my years of seeking medical care, this is the first time I have ever felt dismissed and possibly biased against by medical professionals. I truly hate that I still have to return there to see the hand specialist. I do not want to walk through the doors of that facility again. I ultimately had to advocate for myself with my employer and request a second opinion. That is something I should not have had to do if the providers had simply listened to me as a patient.

If you're looking for a highly skilled orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kevin W. Luke is the one you…read morewant--he's beyond amazing! My son had an unfortunate accident on November 27th, just before Thanksgiving. He thought he had only dislocated his shoulder, but after an X-ray, we learned he had actually broken his clavicle bone. The hospital informed us that surgery was likely necessary, but we needed to see an orthopedic specialist to confirm. We were fortunate to secure an appointment with Parkview Orthopedic Group on December 2nd. After reviewing the X-ray, the doctor confirmed the fracture was severe, and surgery would be required to address multiple bone fragments. The earliest available surgery date was December 12th, but the very next day, we received a call that the surgery was being rescheduled. Dr. Luke was now assigned to my son's case, and he could perform the surgery on December 10th. This was a bit of good news, as it meant my son would get the care he needed sooner. On December 4th, we met Dr. Luke. He thoroughly explained the situation, describing how the bone fragments would need to be repositioned and then secure the bone with a plate. He also took the time to explain the importance of avoiding damage to my son's growth plates. Dr. Luke made us feel confident that my son was in excellent hands. The next 13 days were tough--my son had to sleep in a chair, and the bone pushed against his skin in a way that looked extremely painful. He was able to attend school up until the day before surgery, demonstrating incredible resilience. He truly handled it like a soldier. On the morning of surgery, Dr. Luke reassured us by explaining that they would perform a nerve block to manage pain for up to 24 hours after the procedure. While I was a little nervous about the nerve block after reading about it, the anesthesia team made sure my son was comfortable and explained everything to him. After about two hours in surgery, Dr. Luke came out to update me, saying the procedure went very well. He managed to reposition all but one of the bone fragments. The nerve block worked wonders, but by around 4 a.m. the next morning, as it wore off, my son experienced significant pain. Fortunately, the prescribed pain medication helped bring the discomfort to a more tolerable level. A week later, we had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Luke. The nurse removed the bandages, and everything looked great. Dr. Luke used sutures instead of staples to minimize scarring, which was another thoughtful detail. Since my son is young and recovering well, Dr. Luke gave him a list of exercises to do. We've had several follow-up appointments with Dr. Luke since then, and my son continues to heal well. He gave my son a choice of self-therapy if he wants, which he was thrilled about. Dr. Luke has been exceptional every step of the way--never rushing us, always answering our questions, and providing outstanding care. If you find yourself in need of orthopedic surgery, I can't recommend Dr. Kevin W. Luke enough. His expertise, compassion, and thoroughness made all the difference in my son's recovery. Thank you, Dr. Luke, for your excellent care and for putting my son's clavicle back together! I'm not sure what happened with the others who left negative reviews, but their experiences don't match mine at all!
