Lol. The years have passed and I decided to check it out tonight. What compelled me to relive Art Hop was my friends little fashion show he was throwing at Broadway studios. I wanted to show my support of course. I then began meandering through the streets of downtown and I am in awe of what it has become! Art hop has evolved into this huge event that is seemingly spread out for miles. Generally, it is a younger crowd as it always was but tonight it was nice to see people of all ages, backgrounds and families with children. There are lots of food trucks and live music, break dancers and djs. Tons of local art, FREE goodies and wine, I surprisingly really enjoyed myself and got to catch up with old friends. Art Hop, I will see you again!

I admit I was slightly nervous with the area at night. There is a lot of walking between galleries and a number of dark and quite streets but what you get in return is a great art experience, reminiscent of my times in Harlem, NY. Having my trusty guide was keeping us sane. Were arrived on the late side but managed to go to 4 galleries. There is vast variety of local art, all the way from the classic gallery to gothic to neo-expressionism to junk art and photo-realism. It was a great experience and you meet everyone from all walks of life. It is definitely an event to go with a group of friends who are open to experiencing something new. Maybe not the best place to bring your parents... some galleries welcome you the strong scent of THC and other smoked botanicals upon walking in, if you catch my drift. I however will be back

There's a pretty big selection from what I saw. It's not just a health store, there is also a lot of books of Christian material. Unfortunately, I can't review on that as I just come in for the vegetarian options. The customer service was amazing. They're super friendly. Since COVID-19, the hours have varied.

After several…read moreincidents of racism directed at him, we were feeling disgusted and unwelcome by the people of Fresno. We saw Lotus Pond online and it's been on our list for a while. We almost didn't go because of our recent experiences but knew we would regret not going if we didn't. I'm so glad that we went! Unlike the racists of Fresno, everyone working at Lotus Pond were so welcoming to ALL people, it didn't matter if you weren't SEA, they made everyone feel like they belonged. It was a vibrant family-friendly atmosphere with tons of good authentic food (larb, Lao sausage, papaya salad, pho) and drink (boba, sugar cane juice, snow cones!). There were was a live Thai performer that night and people were dancing. All of the vendors were kind and the food was fire. And of course the Lotus Pond itself was beautiful. They have staff at the entrance of the bridge regulating people going in so that everyone has enough time and space to take photos, I really appreciated that. Keep in mind that since it's a pond the mosquitos and bugs are out in full force, so be sure to bring bug spray! It's also a bit dusty so even though it's hot, I'd wear closed toe shoes. Going to Lotus Pond after having such a horrible experience with racists in Fresno felt like an oasis in the desert. Thank you to the family and community who maintain this project. Community is SO important and as any Asian living in the Central Valley, it truly is a diamond in the rough. There is no cost to entry but they do ask for donations, so please donate! These people deserve it.
