Fans of the "city pop" genre of Japanese AOR will find a wide selection of classics you certainly can't find at any other store and wouldn't be able to get anywhere in the US without ordering from Discogs and paying a hefty shipping fee. Fans of classic rock will be happy to find Japanese versions of the biggest hits, often containing exclusive songs or other goodies (inserts, posters, etc). Mamiya-san and the crew are awesome and continuously receiving records all the time. Furthermore, if you order off their eBay store you can pick up at the location. In my opinion this is the best shop in NYC right now. Go check it out!

If you are feeling spontaneous, just look at their "To File" sections with albums yet to be organized. The best part is when you finish browsing for rarities you can enjoy finding popular favorites - sometimes you just want that album everybody has and you just love to sing along. Ever stepped in a store to buy one thing and leave with a hundred? You will likely get that feeling at this shop.

Vinyl albums are in wooden cases separated by either letters or band names. Their main thing is metal, but they have a healthy selection of 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s rock, jazz, blues, and more. They also have some unique Japanese pressings you wouldn't ordinarily see. They also have a selection of tapes, and I think a few CDs. There are a few items of memorabilia. You can listen to any album you want, as long as it isn't new. All-in-all, this is a great used record store (with some new). And, while mainly catering to metal, they have a very good selection of other styles and genres of music.
