The post on 3/19/14 was also written by me. But, things definitely have changed in the last year…read more I stand by EVERYTHING I wrote originally. However... As time went on and I had additional questions/inquiries, I could NOT get the Attorney on the phone - AT ALL. I spoke with Legal Secretaries / Paralegals, however I could NOT get in touch with my Attorney. In addition, EVERY email I sent had to be sent more than once. And EVERY email REQUIRED another 2-4 phone calls for a resolution. I am extremely disappointed. Why? Chapter 13 - unlike Chapter 7 - is a LONG and involved relationship/process. It lasts 60 months. I can't make ANY moves without consulting my Attorney. And I actually follow directions and seek advice to ensure my case wasn't dismissed for change of job, employment or whatever. I now have had to hire/secure a new Attorney - b/c I need to adjust my case. I fine it extremely concerning that Attorneys are paid first out of the payments to the Trustee. In reviewing the case, he has been PAID IN FULL - and now, I can't get anyone from his office on the phone.

Even though my mom's employer appealed every single claim in my mom's case, Mr. Monast and his team countered those to be able to provide my mom as much help as possible post injury. We worked with Monast Law at the start of the coronavirus pandemic till now. Much of our interaction was through phone hearings and email. However, Mr. Monast and the law team made sure to always reach out to us and speak before important dates. We also met him twice at in-person hearings and his demeanor and interaction with us made us feel like we were in good hands and that he genuinely cared. Through this law firm we learned so much about the entire worker's comp process, something we had never been exposed to before. Mr. Monast made sure to guide us through the steps along with his team. I appreciated Vickie, Wilma, Todd, and the others who always reached out to us to keep us updated on the case status and helped us with all the paper work. My mom's employer's lawyer made the process extremely prolonged and was difficult to work with; however, with the help of the firm we were finally able to reach a settlement. It was not as great as Mr. Monast wanted for my mom; however, it was my mom's wish not to continue further and settle, because it was a constant source of stress for her. I am happy that the case is now closed and my mom was able to receive the proper healthcare and compensation she deserved and needed at her most vulnerable time.

This review is long overdue because I have had the privilege of working with James Tyack for almost…read more20 years. When I initially needed an attorney, I was very concerned with choosing someone who is ethical and trustworthy. My attorney would be my face and voice in every legal matter, and I wanted someone who would be respected while still fighting for me. I interviewed several attorneys in the Columbus area. After meeting with Jamie, I immediately knew that he was the right person to represent me. Jamie has wonderful communication skills and has always been accessible. He has outstanding legal skills and expertise. Jamie is a critical thinker with strong attention to detail, and is client-centered. I always feel like the most important person in the world when I speak with Jamie. Over the years I have needed Jamie's assistance several times. He has never disappointed me. He is truly an amazing lawyer who always takes the time to talk to me and help me resolve issues. In fact, Jamie has represented me three times over the years, and he has won every case. Although this may sound a little silly, I love the "lawyerly presence" that Jamie exudes. His outstanding legal skills are coupled with his professionalism. I'm always proud to say that he represents me, and I would never consider using any other attorney. Recently I referred an elderly friend to Jamie, and he represented her in a civil matter. Jamie always took the time to speak with her and put her mind at ease. She won her case because of Jamie's expertise, and now both she and her sister say they won't consider hiring any other attorney than Jamie. The entire Tyack Law Firm is outstanding. The firm is large enough to serve every need while still being small enough to ensure personal attention. Everyone who works there is a professional and a pleasure to work with. Do yourself a favor and call the Tyack Law Firm anytime you need legal assistance. You won't be sorry.
