I always worry that the stylist will cut too much, leaving it shorter than desired. I briefly explained what I wanted, but also said I trusted her judgement so to just work her magic... She made sure I was happy throughout the process. She trimmed just enough, added a few layers, & did a deep condition/moisturizing treatment so my hair looks & feels much healthier now! The front door says "Walk-ins Welcome" so I figured I'd take my 8 yr old daughter for a hair cut. I sat for another five minutes and all four ladies took a look at me and none of them ever even said good afternoon let alone "how can we help you". I decided to interrupt and ask anyone if walk ins were welcome that day and none of them could answer. They all blankly stared at each other as if I had just asked for open heart surgery. Anyone that knows about hair KNOWS that once you dye your hair black it's really difficult to get the black out. Well thank god for Soraya because a year before her, I tried another stylist out and she bleached half my hair to do a red ombré to start the process of getting the black out. My hair ended up SUPER damaged so damaged I had to cut all of the bleached part off. So I waited a whole year to let my hair grow out and thanks to one of my family members for recommending Soraya at studio 54 because she got the black out and my hair looks soooo much better. It's the exact color I had wanted and she's soo kind and patient. Soraya at studio 54 is my go to hairstylist now. I appreciate her hard work and attention to detail. She listened to my concerns from my previous experience and explained to me the process she would go through to color my hair. It's sooo nice to have your hair in good hands. As for the bad review I read posted by Bianca M. I have uploaded a picture with the guidelines that salons have to abide by. During these scary times businesses have been hurting tremendously. Instead of spreading negativity over a experience that was out of the salons control. We should be patient and understanding that this is new for everyone. So I'm glad studio 54 salon knows the guidelines to follow and is ensuring the safety of its clients and also salon workers. That makes me feel even more safe about giving them my business.

Unfortunately, it's about the salon owner, whose behavior is consistently rude, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for someone running a business. From my very first appointment, she set the tone. I walked in with a Starbucks for myself and my stylist... completely unaware the salon had a café (which was closed, by the way). Instead of a normal greeting or a simple "Just so you know, we have coffee here," she loudly blurted out, "Who brings Starbucks here?" as if I had just broken a house rule. Not exactly the welcoming vibe you expect when you're coming in to spend money. Her attitude has been the same every visit since: dirty looks, zero acknowledgment unless you're her direct client, and an overall negative energy that shifts the whole room the second she walks in. And it's not just me. My best friend and my mom have both gone to the same stylist and experienced the exact same treatment from the owner. The same snarky comments, the same judgmental looks, the same cold, uninviting demeanor. So it's clearly a pattern, not a one-off. One moment that really stuck with me: it was just me, my stylist, and the owner in the salon. My stylist stepped into another room, so I raised my voice slightly to make sure she could hear me. The salon was empty. Yet I overheard the owner mutter, "Why is your client so loud? She's in a salon." Instead of speaking to anyone directly or respectfully, she chose to insult a paying client behind their back. Completely uncalled for and extremely unprofessional. Even if YOU the paying client says hi to her she looks you up and down and gives a cold hi back. At this point, the only reason I've ever tolerated stepping foot into this salon is because of my hairstylist. Who deserves better, and so do her clients. If you value professionalism, respect, and a welcoming environment, I'd strongly recommend booking with these amazing stylists anywhere else if they offer services at another location. The talent here is great. The owner is the problem.
