The ceilings Dale dry walled are all fine except the landing which has multiple cracks. An archway he repaired is also fine. Dale stated that when he began our project we would be his only job, after two months of wondering why he wasn't there during the day I checked K + D's website to see pictures of him working on apartments. We got his leftover energy....The home was empty, he had 24-7 access with his own key, and still after 2 months he could not finish. We parted ways. After spending almost 10,000 dollars we now have to drywall all of those walls that he CHOSE to skim coat. I specifically asked which technique cost more and he said it was a wash...one took more time, one took more material. I just asked him to do it right. He did not.

The story of K&D begins when the…read morepandemic permitted Kim to work from home and she hired a contractor to create an office space. The experience was dreadful as the contractor was sloppy, unreliable and left the job with cracks in her new walls. With a background in customer service, Kim knew this was not how things should go, and was leery when her father (former owner of Painting by Sardo) recommended his former employee; Dale to fix the mess. When Dale fixed the problems on time and with project transparency, Kim knew his process needed to be offered to all of Buffalo, Kim and Dale now share a common vision on many things- especially turning traditional frustrated contract work on its head! With a focus on transparency, communication and customer satisfaction, K&D was built to be different.

Whenever deciding on a contractor, you also want fair prices, and no surprises, and A2Z did well on that too. We did have a hiccup however, the team made everything right in the end. We have 2 tips that we think can take the business to the next level. There must be a clear understanding between both parties when doing the estimate. This will reduce the need for scope creep in the project. For projects that require cleaning up, you need to make sure there is a plan to remove the trash. You take it with you, or it needs to be bagged in contractor bags to be put out periodically with the trash. I wish your business the best. I have no doubt that they will take these tips into consideration going forward. We will be in touch for the upcoming project.

They told me to fix their mistake they must charge me an additional $900 on top of previously agreed upon price. This company does not do they work, they sub-contract it out. Your results will depend on who is available at the time to do the work. There are good reviews from people who have had good sub-contractors come in.
