I highly recommend Andrew Taylor for any custody/visitation issues you may have. Especially if your ex is emotional, unreasonable, and uncooperative - like mine was. Literally 10 years of inconsistent visits, no support, and disrespect. My ex did not respond to discovery, nor phone calls, and was uncooperative with the GAL during the preparation period. The day of trial Andrew took him to the side to inform him of what we were prepared to ask the judge for in response to a Rule to Show Cause - my ex agreed to almost all the terms proposed and dismissed the rule to show cause in an effort to avoid trial. I was actually shocked because everything Andrew proposed i have been requesting for a decade! Would i have liked to skip the attorney fees? of course but in the end it was worth every penny. I am very disappointed in this law firm. I paid 10K as retainer for a divorce and within a month, I needed the help of the lawyer assigned to me to fight for access to my TSP funds as my wife's lawyer was telling her not to approve me withdrawing funds sufficient to pay the taxes, mortgage and insurance on our home. My small pension was not enough. Despite my asking, I received no helpful advice and ended up solving the problem myself, though I was charged close to 1K by the law firm for my troubles. After 3 months without hearing from them, even to find out if the TSP issue had been resolved or if I had failed making any house payments, I informed them that I was looking for another lawyer. I was not even contacted by my lawyer about my leaving. I left this incident with the firm opinion that they did not have my back and would not fight for me through the divorce process. Shucks, their lack of concern for me as their client floored me. I can, without hesitation, not recommend them. read more

BEWARE OF THIS LAW FIRM. I hired them to represent me on a child custody and visitation matter solely no child support. During my consultation with Andrew Taylor we had a conversation which was supposed to be a recorded conversation where we discussed my options and he explained to me if we didn't get the results I wanted we could always appeal the decision which he wouldn't typically suggest because it would get expensive and cost around another $10k and usually the results stay the same (we never got that far) I felt confident after the consultation and paid them $7500 for a retainer and he explained to me that if there was anything left after the court date it would be given back to me which I knew there wouldn't be. They sent me statements leading up to the court date and after the court date they sent me another statement saying the remaining balance I had left ($2,332) was gone and now I owe them another $14k so now this child custody and visitation matter has gone up to $21,800 including the consultation and retainer fee now they are trying to sue me for this balance because I signed a contract they make you sign when you do the retainer at this point with court fees etc this law firm is trying to get a total of over $36k out of me because I signed the contract which I signed based off the conversation with Mr. Taylor putting my trust in these people thinking they were there to help only to be taken advantage of had they been honest with me at that time I would have said okay I appreciate your time but that's out of my budget and found another attorney to represent me now this entire situation has become a nightmare that I can't afford and would have never put myself in that position from the start had they been honest with me. Disappointing in every manner, including pricing, service, time neeeded and ultimate outcome. A very bad and expensive experience.

I hired Ms Chin, of Nichols Zauzig back in February 2020 to represent me in my divorce (which does not involve children/custody) but had to terminate her services 1 year later without my divorce being over. Interestingly, I hired Ms Chin based on a positive online review among other reasons. Now here I am, posting a review of my own. To begin with, neither my spouse nor I received the initial letter Ms Chin stated she sent to both of us to the two separate addresses informing him that she was retained by me. When I emailed 4 weeks later to find out the status of my case, I was charged for the email response attaching a "courtesy copy" of the letter that neither my spouse nor I ever received. Ms Chin finally sent my spouse a follow-up to the letter 3 months later! Later, when I reached out to my spouse about financial support. His reply was, "You might want to follow up with your lawyers since they have not done anything since you and I gave them our information. I am sure they keep charging you...". He was correct. I had informed Ms Chin of my disappointment and dissatisfaction with how my case was being handled even before his response. Not only did Ms Chin cost me considerable time and money scheduling/postponing/cancelling hearings, I was also bombarded with costly and redundant emails which I finally had to demand that she stop sending. I was also charged a hefty sum to draft an additional financial document that was not needed, and without my consent. When I found out, because my spouse's lawyer retaliated with same, I told Ms Chin that I did not give her permission to do this and that I did not want it done. I was not refunded for this charge I did not authorize. Ms Chin also failed to include a pertinent requirement I wanted included in my Pendente Lite agreement, resulting in severe financial distress and anxiety. Ms Chin also failed to send me a revised document within the two weeks as promised. When I realized that over six weeks had gone by and Ms Chin still did not send the revised document, especially since I had nothing much to show for the $8,000 I had spent so far, I felt that it was not in my best interest to continue to retain Ms Chin. This, coupled with Ms Chin's handling of my case from the onset, resulted in my decision to terminate her service. Also, I recently found out from my spouse's attorney that he had discussed mediation with Ms Chin. However, Ms Chin did not to mention this to me, though I am/would have been receptive to mediation. read more
