Nicholls State is a fantastic university and most professors are excellent and really care about you and go the extra mile to help you out when you're struggling with something. I got my bachelor's degree in Education from there attending in-person full-time. Now I am getting my online degree in Educational Leadership and still think it's fantastic. If you're thinking about it, pay them a visit and if you enroll I'm sure you'll love it. read more

A regional University that is 100% nationally accredited. Numerous majors are available to fit your needs from Geomatics to Mass Communication. Tuition is relatively low. If you can't make it to Thibodaux, you can take a course online at Nicholls.edu/online. read more

Attending Nicholls was one of the best decision I have ever made. Tuition is affordable, the safest campus in the state, fully accredited, the list goes on and on. The most impressive thing to me is that you're more than just a number here. The faculty know your name, and not just the ones in your department. I consider many people I met here family. If you're looking for a different experience than LSU, I highly encourage you to come check out Nicholls. read more

This place is extremely corrupt, I was assaulted by an instructor and the department head witnessed it. She then attempted to reverse the script and tried to place blame on me, luckily I'd recorded the incident. The provost, Velma Sue Westbrook, until recently occupied the role of Vice President and Provost, as well as Dean of the Nursing College simultaneously, she did everything she could to cover up the incident, and had me removed, hopefully the DOJ prosecutes these people. read more

The ladies who make them once made a video outlining the process, but I think the real recipe is kept in a vault in some bank in Switzerland. They even auctioned a whole pan one year. I remember students running to the cafeteria at the bell to be the first in line and get the best pickings. There was always a line to get them. One time, I was late and didn't get a biscuit one morning. At the end of recess, I saw a lonely biscuit with one bite taken out of it sitting at the top of a mound of biscuit debris. I had a serious envie for some buttery goodness. You better believe I grabbed that biscuit off the top of the trash an ate it. There is an art to picking the right biscuit. You want it to be fluffy, buttery, but not too over the top. If you're feeling frisky, you can add some bacon and cheese. But nothing beats a $.50 plain biscuit at recess. I've gone back a few times since I graduated to remind myself of what I'm missing out on. If you're ever passing through Thibodaux on a week day, you owe it to yourself to pass by and grab a biscuit, if they haven't sold out. Last bite: the butter-soaked center of the biscuit (I'm one of those weird people who don't like the crispy edges)

Their year-end revues are entertaining and professional with great choreography and production values. The babies really do dance, and the teens are incredible. The tickets indicated this, but this was not the case. Other schools revues separate because no one from one school is interested in dancers from another school. The poor toddlers & younger groups were mixed in with all the other dancers which created them being too tired to perform & cranky. It would be better for everyone involved to allow the smaller kids perform first, intermission then the older girls. This is what is being done at other schools. Let's face it, no one wants to be there for 3 1/2 hours & it's not fair to the kids. Please consider these suggestions for next year. I know the dancers, mothers, fathers & grandparents will sincerely appreciate it.
