I only found this place after becoming a regular visitor to the fantastic Brunswick centre - Marchmont Street is a small run of little shops just opposite the Brunswick entrance.Gino's pricing and look of the place drew me in - £15 best spend ever and this place has style with a capital S. Add friendly staff and great music to listen to = for me as good as it gets.

This place is a gem!…read more The guys are great and friendly! They go out of their way to at least allow you the chance to talk and they know their customers and genuinely care. Which made for a fun, and friendly atmosphere, lots of laughs and smiles along with excellent service at a great price. If you're in need of a haircut and in the area definitely check them out!

I'm a dude who used to complain about paying more than £15 for a haircut…read more Not anymore. This place does you right. I've been here a number of times, and every time I look pretty amazing. I used to just get haircuts, then I had a full Ted once. The full Ted is where it's at. A shave, haircut, unibrow thing, and towel massage. It's really awesome. It's now my thing. It should be your thing too. Sure, it's expensive, but god damn it does it feel great. Now I can never go back to a £15 haircut. I've been ruined!!

I called twice that day to inquire about prices and hours and no one bothered to tell me I was ineligible for a haircut. I went in later that evening and had the most uncomfortable exchange with the staff: Me: Hi, do you take walk-ins? Guy: For what? Me: Just the back and sides. Guy: Oh, you want a haircut? Me: Yeah, just a trim, is it too late in the evening? *Guys look at each other* Guy: We don't do women's haircuts. Me: I don't understand? I have a short haircut. Guy: We don't do it if it's a lady. Me: What does it matter? I want the same haircut. Guy: It's our team... they wouldn't feel comfortable doing it for a lady.

For me, Murdocks offers the best wet shave in London, with the Covent Garden outlet being my…read morefavourite within the chain. It offers the usual haircut/shaving options together with a shop which sells a range of 'male' focussed goods - i.e. more shaving items, colognes, hip flasks, books and other accessories. There are two barbers who work here - one downstairs and one upstairs. I prefer the upstairs because it is a little more private. The downstairs option is more lively but can be a bit distracting as people pop in/out of the shop which is also downstairs. Usually, I opt for the 'full service'. This is a wet shave followed by a haircut. The shave is relaxing and performed with practiced expertise and is the real highlight. All the staff I have met are super friendly which adds to the general good vibe! In short - recommended.

He said it was so relaxing and truly a great shave. My only issue really was they said it would be a 15 min wait and it was more like 45 min wait. I think they told us that so they wouldn't lose the business, but I'd rather been told the truth and we could have gone next door for a pint! I will say they did offer him a bottle of beer, but never offered me anything or even spoke to me. I left and went next door and got my own pint with a nice relaxing view in the pubs outdoor seating area.

No exaggeration by far THE WORST haircut I've had in years!!!…read moreA perfect example of style over substance. The stylist said all the right things and proceeded to do the exact opposite of what we talked about. The slight trim on tip turned in to a total scalping taking my decent head of hair to an Action Man style crop with a weird longe fringe! She did everting I asked her not too, way too short, a round shape not square which was the number one thing I said I didn't want and hacked off the areas I said I was growing. Bad bad BAD!
