Simply a plethora of framing options are available here from your traditional styles right the way through to something more artistic or modern numbers - all very professionally done. They have a good selection of the actual frame as well as the glass itself. Being in the picture business they obviously have some outstanding pieces on the wall to mesmerize - keep an eye out for the Balloon Festival sketch. Very simply pictures can be mounted on to a whole host of different materials such as thin board or canvas, they can be framed in a selection of custom or conventional frames or framed with mirrors. Any style, any size - these guys can take care of all your printing and framing needs. Being framers too they have some pretty awesome stuff in their windows for sale. Took my print in and Charlie (the proprietor) helped me choose a surround that would compliment not only my print but also my home décor. The job was done in a week as he needed to get some more materials in but it was well worth the wait. Not only a framers but he sells original artwork and mirrors in the shop. Well worth a visit if you're on this side of town...or even if you're not.

From the outside you might be forgiven for thinking this is a frivolous, girly shop for bored housewives and old ladies but oh how wrong you would be! There is a large selection of sketchbooks, drawing paper, paintbrushes and Daler-Rowney paints - all essential for art students and established artists alike. The store itself is lined with cards and displays that have been created using products from the shop, such as decopache kits, rubber stamps, ink and stencils. The only thing that limits the possibilities of the products in this shop is your own imagination. Price are reasonable and there is also a framing department at the back of the shop where you can take in your masterpieces to hang with pride.

Reasonably priced with knowledgeable staff on hand to explain what everything is for, Craft Works is creativity made easy. They even host workshops in the evening. They also stock resources for those of us who can't quite decide what hobby would suit us best, or for those of us that would like to be a bit more creative but aren't exactly sure how. A full range of magazines is available with comprehensive advice on hand. And just for the record: I'm in the market for a knitted toilet roll cover with a Cindy-type doll miraculously emerging from the middle. They have a wide selection of frames - verging on the old-fashioned side but I am getting particularly bored of the Ikea wooden box frames so that is fine by me - and a lot of mounts (the cardboard bit that sits between the glass and the picture. Choose the colour to bring out the best of your picture). They also have a lot of greetings cards to choose from. Again a little old-fashioned but certainly good enough to find what you need.

It's not like it used to be, taking that roll of film out the back of your old camera, literally wearing surgical gloves to avoid finger prints and blocking the sunlight at all costs. Well here at my local printing shop they have those nifty do-it-yourself machines with mini SD slots, or USB ports and even Bluetooth etc. so you don't have to get the whole roll of thirty rubbish photos printed just for that one that came out quite well. The staff are so friendly and helpful and it really is such a cheap, quick and easy process to get your photos printed, in fact there's a cheap Christmas present for Gran sorted. They also offer a canvas wrapping service, where they'll stretch your image over a canvas so you can hang it on your wall.

They go out of their way to help customers, printing perfect pictures each time - and if they're not perfect, they'll spend that little bit extra time trying to make them perfect. It's quite a small shop, and they stock a large variety of albums and photo frames on the main part of the floor. In the centre of the shop there's two computer hubs, where you can plug in a memory device of some sort and print your photos fast from the machine. Their main focus, though, is the traditional print services of a photographic shop. As I said, I've never been disappointed with the service or quality of the finished product, and I've consistently been impressed with the shop. Definitely give them a go next time you need some holiday snaps developing.

To say this is a shop that sells greetings cards and wrapping paper may very well not be putting it in the truest light possible. Rather it is a shop where artistic expression has run free and splashed pieces of art onto card and paper like the sunshine. More so it's a place where soft jazzy grooves fill the air and you get the impression that every last detail has been planned for with love. In short, I dig this place and highly recommend it.

It's a little sophisticated - you won't find pink teddy bear cards here. I like this, if I wanted something more everyday I can go to WH Smiths. Whilst feeling stylish and intelligent Sky is somewhere that feels enjoyably relaxed.
