My shoes always come back looking cleaner and shinier than when I dropped them off, too! The cobbler can always been seen out back, cobbling away, the watchmaker is diligently fiddling with teeny little screws at the front counter and there always seems to be some intense conversation going on with the woman at the counter and a customer over a shoe sitting between them on the counter. These people care about the work they do, and I have entrusted them with many a pair of my favourite shoes for re-soling over the years. They do a good job at an average price (I was shocked to find that shoe repairs have tripled in price over the last decade, not just here but everywhere- I shopped around), and they get it done when they say they will.

Palm Beach gets packed with bargain hunters from the Paddington Markets across the road on Saturdays, as do all the shops on this strip, so it can be a little hard to find a spot to try on whatever delight you've picked up, but if Saturday is the only day you can get here it is still well worth a look in, even just to marvel at how they fit so many shoes into a pretty tiny shop- the window display says it all.

What I like about T Bar is it treats T shirts as art, rather than an exploitation to advertise brand names. In doing this T Bar employs many artists, both local and international to create designs for the shirts and they promote the artists as well which is fantastic. As always Art is a matter of taste and what T Bar offers is broad, there are many shirts I like and many I do not. At the moment they have a brilliant design from English artist Tim Laing of multiple faces merged together with the top of their heads chopped off with mountains, landscape and birds coming out the top, another by Sydney artist Beast Man features a 3D design of an eyeball in a cage, it is more interesting than that, but difficult to describe. I am not crazy about the prices of $40 a T shirt, manly as the quality of the fabric is not that high and I do not think the shirts will last a long time. Sure the prices are high but these are designer brands after all and to be expected. Although I have to admit Incu marks it up quite high. This place fits right into my approach to shopping. I don't shop often at all so I have a small wardrobe, but when I do I tend to buy investment pieces that would last me years. I have bought a few items here (mostly when its on sale) and even the most simple items look different when worn. My favourite designer is Alexander Wang and his casual wear line is amazing. He puts a bit of cool to my usual uniform of jeans and t-shirt! The assistants there are usually design students and are nice enough when approached. I guess the clothes speak for themselves and their demeanor reflective of most designer stores. Truth is, at current market conditions, I would rather shop online because you can get all of these designers on websites such as net-a-porter at much lower prices. But if I can't wait or if its sold out overseas, this is when I head to Incu. Lovely store with beautiful clothing.

Incu is great, expensive but great, I don't often buy anything as I don't want to spend $45 for a singlet or $120 on shorts, but if I had an unlimited budget and less clothes I would shop there. They sell casual designer clothes from leading design houses and their clothes cover a range of styles, but are all excellent quality and extremely stylish. Although I try to keep my credit card in my pocket, I still like to have a browse.
