The staff is also friendly and hard working. Now there are some problems about this hotel. Some rooms don't have enough water pressure, or some rooms have a very confusing lock as I was stuck outside my room for 10 minutes because the lock was hard to use. I knew we weren't going to make breakfast, so I called just to make sure they were open for lunch and the first thing the guy on the phone warned me about was that breakfast was no longer being served. That must be some breakfast. When we arrived shortly after 1 PM on a Sunday, they were breaking down what was left of the buffet. We definitely missed out. As for lunch, they would only serve us apps until 1:30. Main dishes were available to order after that. We tried for the empanadas, but they were out so we instead got the garlic shrimp and mushrooms and the Oaxacan cheese quesadillas. The boys were happy with the latter (I didn't try). The shrimp were finger-licking good and the rice was cooked to perfection. For a main, I went with the duck enchiladas in red mole. They were absolutely delicious. Way too much mole, as is often the case with most authentic Mexican mole dishes. And the shredded lettuce wasn't necessary, but the enchiladas had great flavor. The service was excellent and the views are incredible. This is a great place to have a relaxing meal, enjoy the sights and a quiet break from the craziness on the main street and take lots of pictures.

Felt safe and secure my entire stay, staff checks in on you often and very attentive. The room is very spacious, comes with comfortable bedding, iron, bathrobes, slippers, Nespresso machine, lavender water, tailored scented body wash and lotion. The spa is worth every peso. This hotel is meant for someone whom wishes to relax. Given that info there's no gym on property. But the spa has a hot sauna, wet sauna, hydrotherapy pool, various private rooms for massages, full showers and locker rooms. This is an adult only hotel so you'll miss the screams of crying children or loud cartoons. But hopefully the magical sunrises and sunsets can make up for that.

Breakfast is the best meal of the day in the restaurant. In the spa I really enjoyed the hot stone massage and hydrotherapy. The antioxidant facial wasn't my favorite experience, but overall this spa is amazing. Casa Fernanda is a lovely oasis in a magical Mexican mountain town.

Anytime we needed a taxi they called one for us which is helpful when you are traveling and running around trying to get wifi. The rooms are decent size and clean, the bathrooms are little outdated but still very clean and comfortable. The right side of the hotel hosts the grand fountain, a pool, a covered patio, and even a small chapel. We had a lovely stay, minus the mosquito bites that are unfortunately unavoidable and no fault of the hotel. Check it out, you wont be disappointed !
