The vets have checked in with us regularly to ensure our diabetic cat is still doing well, and were very helpful in explaining Feline Leukemia when another cat of ours was found to have it. In the times when we've had to make the very painful decisions, the vets, vet techs and front desk staff have been so wonderful. We have always received honest opinions, and had our own wishes respected, without judgment. I have occasion to deal with the front desk staff every few weeks because of medication requirements, and not once have I ever encountered a bad attitude. I can't say enough about the care my cats have received while in the care of this fantastic facility.

With her pushed in face she can get out of a muzzle easily, so she needs to feel comfortable in her surroundings or needs to be restrained by me. Her previous vet wouldn't have her in their practice without a muzzle, I didn't like their attitude, so decided to speak to Niagara Falls animal medical clinic and expressed my concerns, to which they were very accommodating and have worked very well with her by scheduling other appointments without other animals around the office when she gets in. They are patient with her and thorough. She hasn't eaten them which is even better. dr Mergl has been fabulous as has dr. Tatzel.

I'm in the process of researching other vets in the area as I don't trust this office due to the recent death of my 4 year old cat. She has had a few illnesses since she was born. Mostly random bouts of conjunctivitis which I read can be bothersome and frequent as she was one of 3 sisters in the household. I used to treat all of them at once to prevent the spread of the virus and had been diligent in isolating the kittens who are still sick. Haiya developed a UTI lasting well over a year. She was treated with the same medication I treated the conjunctivitis with. CLAVISTAN. It wasn't doing the trick. She would appear to get better and then it would flare up again and so back to the vet we go. Over and over again until I was nearly bankrupt with vet bills. The communication I received was vague at best. I had already diagnosed her myself each time I didn't need to pay $85 to tell me that. After receiving the same medication for the 4th time I had been researching effective UTI treatments. Clavastin wasn't even on the list and no other suggestions were mentioned by Dr Adel or prescribed. It was painfully clear to me that Haiya was suffering. I'm on a disability and this was getting expensive. I started selling things that I had just to pay the vet. My other 3 cats were fine. Fit. Trim, active. Two peas. Haiya was my baby. I bottle fed her since she was always getting pushed out of the litter. We were so bonded. One night we were watching a movie. The other 2 girls came in and one of them ran up and swatted her like she was jealous I was giving Haiya too much attention. Situation diffused I started to gently clip Haiyas nails. Just one or two at a time at intervals. Sometimes it would take me 2 days to trim them but she has one chronic ingrown nail on each front paw that were very difficult to maintain. As they grew fast large and directly into her pads She was a polydactyl. The extra digits were mutated and hard to deal with. Dr Adel said they didn't feel comfortable operating to alleviate the situation but I should continue to torture my cat often to deal with it. This 8s difficult to write as I'm full gone waterworks and it's difficult to compose myself. So not only was my bank account emptied repeatedly but I was also repeatedly given ineffective treatment options and denial of surgical procedures to ease my cats suffering and frequency of flare-ups.. Although I could tell Haiya was having some discomfort she seems quite affectionate and even playful. I knew that by the end of the month a I'd have more money to take her into the vet again and it was only less than a week away. But as she was lying next to me peacefully.while I stroked her she let out a yowel and had a full blown seizure. Like running in her sleep and then she was gone. Forever. The amount of times Haiya had been back and forth to the vet you'd think they would have run some tests. This had never before happened. I honestly don't know what could have caused her seizure other than the fact that her UTI had gotten to sepsis level. I won't ever go back there. The staff is always extremely friendly and upbeat in contrast with the doctors monotone demeanor. It's the doctors carelessness and lack of effective treatment options that driven me nuts over the years. And now with Haiyas sudden death and the further research I've done brings me to the conclusion that must have been working for pharmaceutical bonuses rather than the proper and effective treatment of my baby girl. I'm very upset and now paranoid about suddenly losing my other 2. I've lost my ability to trust anyone. Interviewed several local vets but none are very appealing or affordable. Maybe I'll just become a Vet. Hate Niagara Falls. Working towards going back to BC. It's a better class of people there. A more personable mindset. Selfish is wide spread in Ontario I've learned.

So they said wait another month, we went and they decided to operate to get it out well they couldn't find it, so they said give it a couple weeks they said they would do an ultrasound to I called them to do the ultrasound they said they would try to find it without the ultrasound so they operated a second time and again couldn't find it. so a few weeks later they finally did the ultrasound and again operated a third time . It took 7 months to just get my cat neutered. THIS IS SO CRUEL We adopted Bobby and this is the vet the adoption agency uses? we had no choice but to get him neutered there.

Initially I was given an appointment for the next morning but was called back with an appointment today. Our cat was examined and provided treatment for an apparent infection. The instructions provided to continue her treatment were clear. The Ford Veterinary Associates are not in a modern building. The facility though is clean and the staff is caring. Dr. McCarthy, his son also Dr. McCarthy and their staff have always given our pets exceptional care. When going here you are not paying for a modern facility, you are paying for quality care for your pets at an affordable price. We are happy here and will continue taking our pets for well care and treatment of ailments.

Hours are M-F 7am-7pm and Sa Sun 9am-6pm but they are closed 12N-2pm each day so you cannot pick up during that time. They asked if our dog required a private space or is social. We could not see the playspace and only 1 person is allowed in the lobby area. If we were to use this location on a regular basis, we'd need to see the playspace. But overall, very happy with the doggie daycare.
