That's a total of $145 for the first visit, which is about $20 a day. Other places I've been to charge around $30 for five days or at most $70 a week, so this pricing feels unreasonable and not sustainable. I asked the woman at the counter (wearing glasses with strings attached) about the cost, and she brushed it off, saying, "Well, the consult fee is $15, we have to make a living somehow." When we asked her for instructions on how to prepare and take the herbs, she was impatient and dismissive. I asked how many times a day to drink the medicine, and she said "two" while pointing at a paper on the counter, telling me to "just take a picture and follow the instructions." But when I looked at the paper, it didn't include that information. I told her this, and instead of clarifying, she replied in an annoyed tone, "Well, I just told you, no?" I then had to ask her other info that were missing such as how much water to use, or whether to take them before or after meals. My 4 year old son got an infection and needed antibiotics and Walgreens gave me the run around all day, till I finally came and said they were sold out and for me to call around and find a pharmacy that had it in stock to transfer my son's prescription. It's late and most pharmacies were closing so I was scared I wouldn't be able to help my son. I called McKee to see if they had the antibiotics in stock and they did, but was closing in 10 mins after I called around 6pm. I rushed over way past their closing time, and a very helpful and kind lady helped me out and I was able to get our electronic prescription from Walgreens transferred over to McKee Medical Pharmacy. I was an emotional wreck that night because no parent likes seeing their child suffer, and it was getting late, I felt hopeless and I was afraid that I couldn't get his medication that evening... Thanks goodness for McKee staffs and pharmacist for helping a frantic mom out, I am so so so grateful and thankful for your help! My child took the antibiotics that night and woke up feeling much better already the next day. I am so glad he did not have to suffer a night due to Walgreens negligence.
