The rooms are nice and have in-room coffee makers, big refrigerators, and microwaves. The TV is big. The Heat and AC are easy to use and work. There's even a a great deck overlooking the river. The front desk staff are great. I'd come here again anytime. Only small issue: the restaurant next door is under renovation and it's supposed to be the best place in town. He was awkward when we checked in, but he was downright rude during breakfast. If he would have acted like that when we checked in, we would have left. We had heard that the new owner was a jerk since we hadn't stayed here since it changed ownership, and they were right. If you are lucky enough to not have to interact with him, the hotel is a great spot to hold up for the night. Very good rates and the rooms are clean and comfy. Breakfast was ok - they had waffles, so it wasn't just a standard cereal and bagel breakfast. Won't stay here again unless it changes ownership again, however.

The beds weren't awful but I wouldn't call them comfortable. We were there 3 days and never had maid service even though we put the card out. One more thing, half of the tv stations were so static you couldn't watch them, not so important I know but we won't be staying there again.

The kitchen is a bit of a joke. Don't plan to cook! No utensils or silverware and one plate that was chipped. The silverware draw was disgusting and had bugs in it. The fridge had food on the handle, as did the walls. The carpet is super stained and smells like dog. I like dogs but the stench was pretty overwhelming. The bed skirt and decorative pillow were filthy. We tried to tell the front desk but first she wasn't there then she was on the phone very loudly chewing someone out, and then she was gone. On top of everything else, the people next to us never went to bed and were extremely loud all night. There isn't anyone at the front desk so we didn't know what to do about it. We rented a room to sleep. We didn't get that luxury. So we had to clean our room, and didn't get any sleep and we paid them---something seems pretty messed up in there! Go elsewhere. If you are the health department, however, you may want to check it out.

This one is every bit as good as others in its class but more expensive, about 40% on average. It does have a few things cheaper alternatives may not. A clean working outdoor pool is one of them. The kids I saw loved it. Complaints made by others are mostly valid but relatively minor. Also very patriotic decor no doubt but in a good way. Nothing pushy or confrontational. Front Desk help I dealt with was professional. Nearby sister location is an unusually posh Super 8, also generally more expensive than its peers.
