Axle Doctor - TRAILER SPINDLE ALL THE WAY GONE!

The axle doctors are by far the worst company I've ever done business with. 10-7-20 they came to…read morereplace a spindle on my dump truck. The following Monday I returned to work and after a full day my rear exile was leaking again. Thinking there's no way it could be the spindle they just repaired, I took it to a local mechanic and had a SECOND brand new axle seal put in it. The cost was just over $500. Drove it home and the next morning it's leaking again. I take it back to the same repair shop and they tell me the weld on the new spindle is leaking, so they send a repair man to come warranty the weld and he does so the next day. I return to work and a day and a half later my axle is leaking yet again. So I call axle doctors and after countless tries of getting ahold of them somebody finally answers. When I explain the problem they put the repair man on the phone instead of somebody who is actually in charge (very unprofessional) he said any warranty repair has to be done on his own dime and does not have to money to reimburse me for the money or cost me to find out that they made a mistake. Meanwhile I'm missing excessive days of work and falling short on my bills because of their mistake. Eric the repair man was supposed to come Friday 10/23/20 to redo the spindle and then he said let's change the day to Saturday I'll be there by 1130 Saturday morning. I called him at 12 and he says he's running behind and will be here to fix the truck at 5pm. At 4:52pm he sends me a picture of the hood up on his repair van saying he's broke down in Davenport and won't be making it. So far between repairs and lost time at work this has cost me almost $5000 and I couldnt he more disappointed with a "business" which clearly they are not and have no idea how to run one. This will be going to small claims court and I sould suggest never doing business with this company.

Took no time to install and I was on my way and it was much cheaper than going to the dealership. Fast forward a few days and my cars displayed an alert that my blind side detector was not working and I needed to see the dealer. Reached back out to Butch and he came out to diagnosis. We both figured it was due to the after market mirror I told him to go with and not one directly from the dealer. We were right. He ordered a new one that would fix the issue and was back out to install within days. Even though I should've gone with the dealer mirror initially, it was still much cheaper. His prices, service, warranty and kindness are unmatched. Highly recommend!

Butch handled the diagnosis with precision and expertise, taking the time to thoroughly inspect the system instead of just guessing at the issue. Butch explained the problems in clear, simple terms, from worn components to tricky wiring that comes with age. What impressed me most was his respect for the originality of my vintage GM car. The A/C now runs ice-cold and the airflow feels just like it did when the car was new. It's rare to find technicians who understand the unique challenges of vintage GM HVAC systems, but Butch absolutely delivered. Honest, knowledgeable, and passionate about their craft--if you own a classic GM, this is the man to trust
