He gives plenty of direction in terms of body placement, posture, hand placement, etc. to give you flawless photos. If you are new to being photographed like me, you'll find this kind of direction extremely helpful and comforting. 2. At the same time, he creates a very calm, light, and fun atmosphere that creates true, genuine moments between you and your significant other. We are two people that usually feel very uncomfortable in front of a camera, however we had such an enjoyable experience with Allen. 3. I really encourage anyone using Allen's services to listen to his recommendations. For example, our original scheduled date was cloudy and overcast. He recommended that we wait for sun if we truly wanted to be happy with our photos. We are so grateful to have listened to him, because the results were wonderful (see attached). There are other photographers that will say that cloudy weather is actually better, however with Allen's technique and skill set, he can do incredible things with the light. Getting one's headshots done can feel scary. I was nervous going into it, but the minute I arrived all my guards came down because Thaddeus made me feel safe and secure, sexy and beautiful. He is a natural born teacher and taught me so much prior to the shoot about what was expected of me. For example, coming prepared is his number one request. When booking with Thad you're entering into a symbiotic relationship where both of you contribute. My headshot experience was unique in that what I wanted to achieve was two-fold: to get business and actor headshots (both theatrical & commercial). During our initial consultation I learned from Thad that in my case, I would be playing three roles for the shoot: the talent, artistic director, and fashion stylist. In order for me to succeed at the latter two Thad gave me a step-by-step guide: I needed to create a Pinterest board, identify outfits that inspired me, pull looks from my own closet, print inspo pictures and pair them with each of my looks, and of course hang my clothing and transport them in garment bags. It may sound like a lot of work, and it is, but it is so worth it bc Thaddeus will come just as prepared if not more with his own work completed (photography-wise) not to mention his years of experience and countless stories on the job including glamorous tales and wildly funny tribulations (the kind that enough time has passed for one to be able to laugh at them) from his time in NYC. Also, as I said, my photoshoot was unique as I was responsible for the preparations. Typically, Thaddeus is hired for major commercial shoots or fashion magazines where there are whole teams of people hired to assist. Not only did he teach me how to prepare, but Thaddeus also gave me the gift of directing me throughout my shoot. Having stepped away from the acting world to build my business experience, I felt a little rusty. My thoughts included, "Do I have what it takes? Will I still have the acting chops? Am I good, capable, or pretty enough?" The answer was yes to all. I had everything I needed inside me for the shoot to be a success and I give Thaddeus credit for bringing it out in me. Since I have begun this diatribe, I'll explain. Currently, as a 33-year-old woman, I am on a journey to know and fall in love with myself, believing in myself all on my own. And that's why my photoshoot was so powerful. Thaddeus believed in me before I did. He did so because he cares and that's evident in him contributing his art, his photography, and his good and wise nature to the world. Thaddeus' standards of excellence are so high that you will see it and feel it the moment you meet him, the moment you walk into his convivial, clean, professional photography studio you will know you're in the right place. This is the second time I've had headshots done by Peter at the summit, and this year's photos are even better than last year's. Even though it was a complimentary service, Peter took his time and showed great care in capturing a variety of shots so I'd have great options. He even let me review the photos before I walked away, which gave me confidence right away that they were going to turn out great. Rachel came out to Utah to cover our wedding, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better…read morephotographer! She came to scout out the location prior to the big day to make sure she looked at the best possible light at ceremony time (we had an outside ceremony) and the best angles for her coverage. The day of, she really took her time with us, we went to several locations to shoot groomals. During the reception she took charge to make sure that all the wanted family photos were taken, and that everything was running smoothly.
