Probably the worst experience in car rentals in my life. Shuttling to the location was great, it's a wait so be prepared. I have the patience of an Ox, but this was trying my patience pretty well. Arriving at the location is just off the airport access and it's a building that handles at least a dozen other rental names that I've never seen before. I was still being optimistic until I walked in. Two couples in front of me did not look happy. There is a long counter with one person working the front. Long story short it was an hour and a half to get to the front to rent this vehicle. Listening to the folks before me I had all paperwork ready, but still had a bunch of forms to sign. I will say there was three other people walking in and out of this counter area but no extra help to check people in/out. My insurance covered everything fine. I was not aware of a $250 deposit hold on the rental. The $16.99 per day ezpass use. I will say if you are staying in the Ft. Lauderdale area, you will not need it. That fee was more than my rental fee. I was just happy to be out of there and on my way. The person outside with the vehicle was polite and professional. I will not be using NextCar or their associates again.

Scammers. Pricing is not accurate to quoted online price. They want to charge "admin fees" of 50$ a day for having your own insurance. 70$ day to add their insurance. The customer service is on a zoom type of reservation clerk in a cubby area with a clear speaking ESL. 900$ original reservation turned into 1800$ with US providing our own insurance. All the employees keep repeating they don't make to rules. None appear to be happy. This company is providing bad business. Would not recommend. We would rather give out money to a reputable more expensive Rental car place than pay them for being dishonest. These companies should not be allowed to be in business when they keep referring to - "it was in the small print" . PUT IT IN LARGER PRINT IF YOU ARE GOING TO SCREW YOUR CUSTOMERS so we know what to expect when we arrive. Zero stars should be an option.

Rental virtual booth/ no live agents.  Complete scam

Should be a zero option Worst car rental company. Complete scam. Try to force their insurance on you for extra $35/day. Then tried to claim I didn't have unlimited mileage and tried to upsell Me on unlimited miles for $35/day even though my contract says mileage is freeZ. No live agents...a virtual booth. One of the worst car rental and customer service experience. Scam. Don't use. Expedia should disassociate with this scam company. Calling Expedia and my credit card to cx charges and get refund . There were a dozen or so other people in the same situation as me. NOONE got a car. Everyone left angry.

Stated the terms and conditions but was not present when I dropped vehicle off to show proof of terms

You get exactly what you pay for here and the cars aren't all that great... I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I made an online reservation for a 10' truck, an equipment dolly rental, qty 2 4-wheel furniture dolly rental, and mats. I double checked the reservation online before going in. All good. I get there. No good news. None of the equipment I reserved was in the truck. I had left. I went back. Worse news. None of the equipment I reserved was available. I'm moving TODAY and this is totally unacceptable. They offered to SELL me the equipment they had. I requested an accommodation for the items to be free since their lack of inventory is there issue. The General manager would not accommodate at all. His excuse: they cannot offer equipment free of charge because that is how they keep inventory. I told him, I mean, you aren't keeping track of inventory anyways. I told them to remove those costs and rented the equipment last minute at Home Depot. Luckily they had what I needed and actually provided great customer service. This place does not. The man receiving back the truck also gave me attitude because I parked the vehicle in a parking spot instead of 5 feet away from his intake line. My bad? I'll pull it out, turn it back on, and move it 5 feet. Cool man. I asked for an itemized receipt and they could barely get it together behind the desk to figure it out. I will be reaching out to corporate with my complaints
